Well i don't think I look like a bloke but I am blobby and daggy these days :rofl: and that puts my confindence down, :what: I don't like to wear dresses, never really have, but i do wear skirts in the summer :rofl: before I put all this weight on. When I was 12 or so I didn't look like either of my parents and my brothers and sister were all covered in freckles and I had no freckles at all and my skin is fair but browns easily without freckles, SO i thought I was adopted and mum and dad wouldn't tell me who my real parents were when I confronted them they just laughed at me. BUT when I turned 15 some nice old lady of about 35 yrs told me I looked like my dad, well I was over the moon I just love looking like my dad. BUT it gets worse by the time I turned 20 I was informed that I looked like my mum . I was horrified because i wanted to look like dad. I do Love my mum but just didn't want to look like her. So from 21 on all I wanted was to look like me not dad not mum just me. When I was 35 I was told that I look like Steffy Graff, i said do you think so. When I was 40 I was driving my car in Bendigo and I looked in the side mirror and I thought hey what's mum doing in the car and my god it wasn't it me it was my reflection I saw, ohmy god I had to come to terms that I LOOK LIKE MY MUM. Last week I was mowing a friends lawn and her sister came for a visit and she knows my mum and the first thing she said "Julie you are the spitting image of your mum, :fear and what's worse is the older I get the more I look like her , Greg stirs me all the time about it

I have 2 more new chicks today, that is the total of 22 I think and still more to hatch . I from my violet cock and the sky hen 1 from light green cock and grey oop spangle hen I put 2 more down today. nest 19 Violet cock younger brother of my good one, and cocbalt spangle hen (mother of my white df spangles and the hen in my aviatar) crossing my fingers. I was saving her for my yellow df spangle both parents of the whites birds and sky cinn sp hen and i was hoping to breed more but he is busy in a different nest for the time being. nest 9, white Df spangle and dk green spangle I know the colours aren't great thing plus sp and df, I know I will get bad suffusion but I really want to see what happens with these 2 because they both have the same father (yellow DF sp) and different mums. I need to bring the them both back into the line this year. Anyway I thought I would have a play and see what happens. I have a couple more to put down tomorrow. Will try and get some photos too.

I sit mine in a bucket of water and then rinse and repeat a couple of times, it sits in the water for a couple of hours before rinsing and then let it dry out in the sun for a couple of days.

That is really sad Gb it was so young, but so I still have the giggles after a good nights sleep, I am really horriable. Seriously when Buffy was alive that's the little dog that the tiger snake killed, she was my egg disposer, I never gave them to her I would just through them on the groung out side and she would come along and cobble them all up dead in shell and all, now the chooks get them but only clear eggs, the dead in shell go in the bin and sometimes out side on the ground because I like to break them open and make sure that have alrady died. You know the other day when I forgot I had that egg down my bra. well that would of been fertile because all hers were any at the same time in another nest an egg hadn't hatch and silly instead of checking when it should of hatched I took it out and sat above the nest for second and I was going to have a good look at it. It looked a bit off colour so I was guessing it was dead. Well forgot about it didn't I until the next morning. :rip: Anyway I broke it open and it would of been alive when I took it out gosh I do some silly things sometimes as it was from another nest and it wasn't due to hatch as it still had a little bit of egg yolk but the chick was frresh looking and pink. SO I KILLED IT THROUGH MY FORGETFULLNESS. It was an lutino hen too. But these things happen

The ones I use are 2ft wide and I think 40cm deep and mine has 1 great big large door at front with a small door in the big door, door small doors each side of big door and a small door on each side of cage.

I am really sorry about your loss, that is terriably that you lost the lot in one go. I don't mean to be heartless but are you sure they were not sick becaus emy cockatiel Charllie she is an idiot she will sit out in the open at night at degree some nights, she doesn't do it all the time but she has done it on a night it was freezing and it rained all night and I expected her to be dead the next day but she was fine she didn;t even get cold and the other day when it was frost everywhere she sat out in the open alnight again she must of had frost all over her and she was fine again. and a week ago the whole 4 goe a fright all sat out in the open and they all to were fine. My budgies have sat on the wire all night 2 when there has been rain and frost expecting them to be dead or die from colds but they are all fine. But then I guess you may live in a much colder area than me. I live in the Goulburn Valley country Victoria. But again about your loss, very sad

Yes if they are strong enough to feed themselves. This bird was slow getting his feathers too , I think his body was working at an excelled rate and all the engery in him went to grow those feathers not his weight.

My son Adam sends it over from WA for me every now and again, he washes and lets it drive over there and when I get I do the same thing. It's fine
