I have no plans to sell any birds GB, Anyway I was out there looking today and couldn't find any that I want to part with. There are a couple of babies that I can't see being any good but I will wait until they moult, but they have skinny little heads and are small birds but we will see. BUT from my main line nothing is leaving here and anyway they are all good which is great for me
  2. It would of been more sad Gb if it had of broke in my bra . I am a bit annoyed with myself for been forgetful.
  3. They are really going for it
  4. Thanks kaz
  5. I hope so Kaz. I saw the machanic today and he said I should get my car bac by the end of next week, can't wait. Mind you I am driving Geoffs 2006 Magna, very flash and modern, black a beautiful car. But I do love MY old 95 hyundai excel sprint. Plus my little car is really cheap to run and Geoff's lovely flash car is a large 6 cyl and a lot more expensive to run and it is making me lazy because my car is manual and Geoff's is auto.
  6. Because she is sitting on 6 warm eggs and I thought it would be better if the egg was the same temp as the other eggs I am blonde ya know
  7. Kaz is there removeable trays or not. Oh Kaz could you please take a picture from a distance for me so I can the cages each side because I am still trying to work out how it is a corner cabinet, now don't go crook at me as I am blonde
  8. I was out in the breed room before at about 4.30 doing a check on food etc when i noticed that my sky blue hen with my violet cock had layed an egg on the floor of the cage. I grabbed it out and it was all intact so I tryed to warm it in my hands but that was too slow so I thought I would put in down my bra for a minute or two i was going to put it back under the hen, anyway I got side tracked checking and then I went inside and played on here for a bit made dinner and then went to have a shower. Well I was getting undressed took my bra off and splat I what was that, looked down and oh my gosh  forgot about that. Yep it broke , no it splatted, budgie egg on the floor. But I was so grateful it didn't break earlier in my bra because yuk. But that little egg could of been my next champion.
  9. I had planed breeding the blue series clearbodies, bought an albino hen to put with him but to me the hen is pretty crappy any I have loaned her Clearwingfor the a round. She is looking better as she gets older. Now that i know my clearbody is fertile when Geoff finishes with her i will put him with her, might get nice birds
  10. Is she a white Double Factor Spangle, if so she probably had suffusion and that is coming out more, The suffusion can be grey or blue in white birds. Have you got a photo that will give us more idea.
  11. Thank you SC but these eggs need to hatch and get to the perch, I lost about 7 one day old babies last week yellow belly) but I fixed the problem. The fertilty is better than last lot but really still not good enough BUt better than nothing
  12. Nice clearbodys I really like the hen you can her here if you want I have a boy the same colour as your boy and I too am waitinng on eggs to hatch
  13. I hope they hatch for you, the hen may not of sat straight away, give them a few more days I am sure there will be little jelly beans there soon
  14. Even if you breed dark factor to dark factor you take the chance of loosing size.
  15. Yes that is rigth and when they in the nest they are quite big birds as the parents are pumping the food in as they are always scrawking for more but the this little fella doesn't. hmmm Anyway once they come out of the nest the loose weight very quickly becaus ethey can't keep up with what they need.
  16. There is a couple of names for them, mops, feather dusters but I think the proper name is Chrysanthemum but actually I don't really know what the proper name. But the poor birds grow feathers out wards and long very long that is probably why this little fella is taking so long to devolop because all it's energy is going into growing abnormally long feathers.here is one link bad picture thoughhttp://www.bctas.info/results1.html Thanks Kaz yes I have been watching , thinking wow another good bird, yep this is great, then today it dawned on rats. Like he has this massive head and as you can see it is not feather that is making his head big. Not yet anyway
  17. Gb I am very sure that it is a mop, whings are as messy as and tail is short. Seems to double or triple the flights and secondarys plus look at the tail area a real mess. It is about 5 weeks when mop starts to show something wrong and this chick is 5 weeks to the day. Very dissappointing but that's nature
  18. That is why I am not having a sky light panel, I am lining mine. Dave are you going to line your shed too or do you have a big tree that will keep it cool.

Yes Dean I am really excited over it, I have to mow at lawn at the week end to earn more money to pay for it  But it will still be a very slow progress because I have to pay my car repair bill off :rip: and that will take a while.
  22. Hi CW, rats I knew it. I thought the other wow what a head, and I nice big bird and then I notice it was slow growing its feathers ect and today it hit me urrgggg MOP. This baby is from my violet and Howes sky blue hen,
  23. Hi all, I have this baby coming it's hatched on th 16rd of July so about 5 weeks. He is out of a good nest that to date i have never got a mop but I really think this is one. It is strange because there is another chick in the nest that was hatched 23rd July , so week youner and is all feathered up. This chcick seems to be very slow getting feathers as look can see in the photo he still has down showing and his head is not feathered probable yet. Here is a photo of the wing, see all the extra flights and the end end a funny point. The tail area and look how messy it is Here is the other one that is a week younger all feathered What do you guys think a mop?
