Pairing Some Of My Birds.
and I agree with EVERYTHING Renee has suggested I also agree with everything Renee said because when I saw the 2 recessives together I thought Oh no I thought you were ment to put them with normal or split and the lutino I do know that when I had mine I was ment to put Light green normal to keep the lovely buttercup colour and Albino to you grey.Good luck with your breeding Liv I also agree with Heath's great advise and he does know what he is talking about.

Wa State Championship & Young Birds Derby
That's great Renee well done :anim_19: It's a big difference from there to here as you are so isolated, our Adult shield is on Sunday which I guess it's classed as State Champion too and we normaly have over a thousand birds to compete against. Plus I guess the difference would be we have heaps of clubs in Victoria

Would You Give A Hen Another Try?
I agree with Kaz and RIP I have pluckers to and I ahve had nest where they have plucked one nest and not the next one or visa versa. When I do get a good plucker I leave the babies with her till they are about 2 weeks because that's when she starts plucking and then I foster them out.

Selection Night Tonight For The Victorian Adult Shield
Hi everyone tonight is our selection night for the Victorian Adult bird shield held in Melbourne Sunday 1st March. I am really excited and just hope my birds get selected. I only have 5 to go as one died when we had that hot spell not long ago. I have 2 yellow DF Spangle Cocks, 1 grey green cock, 1 grey green cinnamon opaline hen and one light green opaline hen. This boy I am hoping does well And this boy too I can't find pics of the others We keep you all informed how I go.

Spangle To Spangle Pairing
The hen is by DODGEY BROS. The cock is an ARMSTRONG. Kaz doesn't Gary use cinnamon and opaline in his DF lines so that cock could be Cinnamon DF spangle or split cinnamon. Kaz I am being lazy I haven't read past this post that I have replied on.

Breeding
If she lays eggs just throw them away, no hassle. I think she is telling you NO more I nned a rest. Plus the heat has been very bad this year takes it's toll on the birds.

Breeding And Resting Times?
I agree with Kaz and Renee on this post. This year I am breeding end of March but with only one round off my older birds , then I will rest them and start again in July with them all because last year I found breeding through the coldest months was not good too many clear eggs and deaths. They couldn't handle the cold. As Kaz and Renee said that you should only breed no more than 2 rounds with your pairs for the year.

- Doing Something For Myself!
That's great Saiworwolf! I dont know why I waited till I was nearly 48 to do this!! That's Great, I might look into that around here and see if they have it becaus eI am a couple years older than you and need a change too.- On The Bus
- Okay Or Not
Sorry I think not too as the budgies need room to move side to side not up and down like a stair case. They need a long wide cage rather than a high cage. :budgiedance: - Doing Something For Myself!
