  1. okay Renee and Kaz got my plan lets see how I stick to it But I know one thing I will have fun I do have a habit of going crazy at any auction so I really need to be careful. Kaz I don't think there is any really young birds there. Sorry you can't go Jimmy could of put a face to your name maybe next time.
  2. Sorry Kaz that is just horrible and I know from experience they don't come back. Hugs
  3. Thanks Daz, I have done that. Greg warned me don't come home with anything inferior to what I have
  4. I do the KISS too
  5. Off to a budgerigar Auction tomorrow in Geelong there are some of Victoria's best breeders birds there. I have never been to one before so am really excited about it but i have to get up at 4am and we are heading off at 5am. Greg has gave me some money to spend so I hope I see something I like that fits my budget. It's funny I have the catalogue here and I have marked so many to look at that I really need to be more serious. :laughter:
  6. When I say bloodline I meant genetics as I have the pedigree to nearly all the birds I have some I no nearly all their backgrounds for at least 4 generations some more. Some I am pairing for looks also meaning complimenting on features.
  7. the new breeding boxws look great Daz. how did you go about doing the wire centre instead of the wood.
  8. Yes Heath positve any way Ian wrote it on the pedegree and he has been throwing me opaline hens when he is put with normal hens. He also is split cinnamon Why I am puting him with her is that there is a click there and between the 2 they are throwing feather and type this is their son I know he has suffusion. She seem to throw that but I don't mind as I put the yellow DF with a normal hens mainly. The grey green and the gg opaline my objective is they have the same blood line the hen 100% and cock 75% and last year I put them down together and got some really nice young, so I am repeating this year. I am going to run a line off these 2 This is one of his daughters from this pairing dark green cinnamon at about 6 weeks old This year I am planning on breeding mainly on blood lines.
  9. So excited for you Renee Good luck can't wait to see your pairs

  17. Well today I started preparing the breeding cages for my adult birds. Done 3 so far I will post pics of the pairs once I have decided who is going to be with who. Already have some plans
  18. No I wouldn't touch it how deep is it?
  19. Well I do, once a bird arrives here and I choose their mating they might have xxxxx blood lines but the the young instantly become my line but you do need to keep in mine that I am making my own line. Even when I put down 2 birds from the same breeder with the same bloodline they are my breeding because the origional breeder may not have done that breeding and he may not like his name put to it.
  20. Well Done Macka :anim_19: our club is very small we only have a had full of members but we did do well as we only had 28 birds entered and we came 11th normally we are second last.
  21. Yep get it Renee, good luck
