These fires are herrific, Bendigo was hit hard. I now live in the Goulburn Valley and thank god we have no fires here but I can't see my back fence from the smoke and it's hard to breath. I think it is coming from Bendigo not sure. Hope you all out there near those fires are safe and unhurt and didn't loose your homes. Have been thinking of you all

Hey Daz why do you say that because that has been my mystery all my DF seem to have red eye when they hatch so I say to myself cinnamon **** but when they are adults and breed they normal young well some anyway. so can you explain the red eye thing to me as it's driving me crazy.

I clean the rust off the same as Kaz does, I keep all my show cages wrapped in cotton wadding and then wrapped in a big plastic black bag and stored on top of a wardrobe, I have 16 show cages stored this way and have not had a rust problem at all. But I do have 14 show cages that I have on display in my bird room which I train my birds.

AGGHHH scary, I am so scare I am going to loose some birds over this heat, lost my best show hen a couple of weeks ago in the last heat wave we had. I ahve put a false roof over top of my tin roof to cool it down and it was working great but it is just too hot for them now, hosing the roof down works for a while by putting a sprinkler up on top but when you turn it off it just gets worst, muggy and hot, poor birds

Where can we send it to?????? post snow to South Australia and Victorian areas.... a dumping of about 3 inches should be ample to cool our parched land. I will send you as much sun as you like Send it EXPRESS

I went to work yesterday and it sucked it took me 51/2 hours to clean a unit and I am meant to do 2, you get paid $48.00 a unit and they say it should take 21/2 hours well it took me 51/2 for one yesterday. What a rip off. BUT because I am new even before I cut the top off my finger it took me 3 1/2 hours to do one. So I worked 51/2 hours and got $48.00 for my pay that is peanut money. My finger is much better hopefully next week I will be faster and it won't hurt as much because yesterday I get knocking it and it slowed me down.

Most of my hens are like that except for a couple of so and so, they even try to bite me when I put fresh seed in the the breeding boxes there is 2 mainly and they are half sisters Henry George line but I think they are just protecting there young because when they are finished breeding they are nice as pie.

Stunning birds Dave I love the fiest 2 Henry George birds the grey and sky blue Cinns I think, which they were mine, I have Henry George line going here too.
