  1. Thanks a lot for the advice Nub do you show much and if so how much is to much for the same birds like two or 3 shows a year too much.
  2. I use warm salt water but water that has been boiled and cooled
  3. Thanks Nub they have not been touched since the show, I have been letting then completely rest. Was thinking of putting them back in the flight for a few days for more relaxation and fun and excerise but it is much too hard catching them and spraying them. But they all look in top health so far so I think I might give them a couple of days flight to perk them up more. The flight is right next to where they are in their holding cages so it is the same conditions so they shouldn't go into a molt as it is fairly closed in
  4. They look great Kaz Nice heads but that's why you brought them :glare:
  5. Your new aviary sounds great, breeding cages looking fantasic Daz
  6. The birds are looking great now they have bounced back great, if they don't look heavy enough or anything like that then I would not take them to a show. I will just have to wait until Friday week I think the 27th March and see how they took but I have 2 that have dropped their tail feathers since the weekend so maybe none of them will be going anywhere.
  7. Some of my breeding cages have square perches and the hens do seem to grip better
  8. Thanks Daryl yes I will rest them well
  9. Renee these are the only 2 shows in my area that I do, surely 2 shows 2 weeks apart won't ruin them.
  10. Thanks Heath and Daz I did that yesterday should I do that with all the eggs as she lays them she probably has 3 eggs left to lay.
  11. I would like to see her try and destroy the marble I think she wouild end up with a beak ache GB is she is very important to my breeding, the pair gave me a cracker last year so I am hoping for more
  12. I need some advice from you bid showies as to what to do to continue preparing birds for show for example I have been spraying for birds up until Thursday last week for the show I just went to on Sunday now I need to know how much more spraying do I need to do to keep them in condition, the next show is Saturday week.
  13. She is laying the egg and sitting on it then the next day she destroys it, she layed today took it out and put under another hen and put a marble under her. Gb she is totally destroying them nothing left to fill.
  14. Thanks Macka that's what I thought.
  15. All nest now have 2 eggs plus but one nest I was really counting on the hen I think is distroyng her eggs the next day after laying them. I used her and her partnter last year and she never did that or him so I am not sure what is going on. Thinking about putting them both out in the aviary for a while and wait and try again later. Any one got any thoughts on it.
  16. I have dicided against showing in Albury because I want to show at my club in fortnight and I believe it would be too much for them specially the white double factor because he was only born on the 2nd November. Do you all agree would like your thoughts on it.

  19. That's great Jenene so it's not as hard as it sounds or is it and your just really smart  I was looking it to something similar animal care which lead into Vet nursing but it is in Wangaratta but can be done on line but still need to do class room stuff but any way it started in Feburary so I missed my calling so I will think about it for next year.
