Can We Get Blue Yf Offsprings From Normal Pairing
The DF yellow face can only come from the YF1, which I think in pet birds isnt a common mutation. But your green like everyone said-has a chance of being split blue and masking YF.

New Budgie And I Think I Got Conned.
She is lovely. Ive found the RSPCA tend to flock to 'high publicity' cases not the smaller, lesser ones or on the other extreme they'll visit someone over a neighbour complaint for no reason as one of our members found.

Can I Keep A Chick ?
If you want to keep one, just take out the nest box and you shouldnt have too many probs. Keeping one with the pair and a nest box is asking for trouble. Good luck, wont have long to wait now!!

Two New Hens
Very nice, the top one even looks a bit 'cock-ish' nice and long for a hen. I have a male here identical to the girls. Any plans for them at the moment?

A Couple Of My Show Birds
How old is the young skyblue in the top picture? Looks like he is just coming out of his (first?) moult? Spangle Opaline Grey Green - what class does this type get entered into? I have a hen here- these pics dont do her justice, and am very happy with how she turned out but is a spangle opaline. Also if it'll show in the pics she is a patchy greygreen- ie she is greygreen but has grey areas on her body I'll try to get a picture to show what I mean. (sorry to hijack ya thread Daz!)

Two New Chicks

Colours Of The Rainbow!
Id go a blue Dom pied and a green spangle split blue. Maybe with both carrying recessive or Ino!! You could get blue or green Dom pieds and spangles. Even a YF blue instead of a normal blue.

The Latest
All yours mate- when you coming to get them?? (Laughing out loud) To be honest I havent seen my birds for a good few weeks so it'll be interesting to see what they are like when I get home. If they are alive after the 44/45C we have had up there. Should be home this weekend to see them.
