  1. LOL A mate came in from the station with these little guys today, unusual colourings but dingoes nonetheless.
  2. One of my males has recently gone like that, bit dry and browny but its peeling off now. He likes to get up close and personal when I go in the aviary so easy to notice!! Love your Dom pied and rec pied nice colours. Others looking good too
  3. The hairy dog is wolfhound/bloodhound-mastiff/bully The white one is American bulldog x above. They are all females- which is why the big black dog is living in Perth now!!
  4. My 2 Kangaroo dogs, Black one is 7 months, Brindle is 3 yrs Hairy Molly Dooker and Party Pig. and a male I had- father of the pup, he is living in Perth now.
  5. Love them, Very nice
  6. Jenene - LOVE your avatar!!!
  7. Its good you took Blue back, and I think you both did the best thing putting the chick down as horrible as you may feel. You never know she may get sick of the female too and give ger back in time.
  8. Sounds great. Its very exciting isnt it, even better when you start putting your cages in there.
  9. He doesnt look it but he is a very long big bird, one of mine that didnt get rung. The green/ gg opal pairing hopefully turns out well. The pairing of these birds was a bit harder as my better birds are opal or split opaline but its a bit of a test run this time, after seeing what they throw the next pairing will havea bit more thought to it, I already have a few thoughts on a few swaps all going well. Only checked once today been freezing, they get checked quick when I do the soft food and now they are hatching once more later on, weather hasnt been too bad during the day but a very cold wind today.
  10. My little boy had his first chick hatch today. It is absolutely freezing here today so no pics of it- I'll get some when its feathering up as thats when they're worth photographing!! I thought cage 4 would have been first to hatch- I havent candled any of the eggs so time will tell, more of a surprise too!! Can you tell he's my favourite? LOL He cant wait for his softfood to be delivered each day- although these days the time of day varies!! He still likes to come and sit on my shoulder or hand while waiting and have a good scratch
  11. Lol mine LOVE bottlebrush, they shred it to pieces (especially the hens)
  12. The mauve is a blue so doesnt have to be split to produce blues- (whoever answered this question for you mustn't have read it properly) if you pair her with a blue or green split blue male if the green cock isnt split blue you will get greens.(all opaline) If either are split for say rec pied or greywing etc then yes the young could show it. A YF2 wont produce YF1's but if you pair that cock to a normal blue you will get yf2 blues, blue normals, young will be split greywing and some may carry rec pied if he is split for it. Not knowing if your blue normal hen is split for anything its hard to say exactly what will come out, if she is split rec pied also you may get pieds

Say Hi to her for me too Kaz. Will have to check in with her next time I'm in town.
  14. Well done. BIG Congrats to ya.
  15. She is gorgeous. Any of her babies will be Dom Pied, the others (non Dom Pied) will be fostered eggs as she will throw all Dom Pied babies herself. Look forward to seeing them grow up
  16. Although the 2004 rings are more a royal or brighter blue- is it a club ring?
  17. You wont need to try hard to tempt me LOL!! I will be in Baldivis so nice and close.
  18. So you dont see him for 12 months? Hmmm could be a good thing!! How many kids have you got? Think how many birds you'll have by the time he gets home LOL
  19. Its been a year for me just about to the day- July last year was the last time I bought birds. (only the fact there are no good ones in Kal has saved me!) BUT next trip to Perth... look out!!
  20. YOu could get home in 3 days, but have a look around (although it may be too hot during the day) there are some interesting spots on the nullarbor and through Sth Aust I have driven it a few times. If you do the Nullarbor towards the WA/SA border at night you will see dingoes on the side of the road (during the day too sometimes) Are you moving over with him at some stage or is he just working for a while here?
  21. mmm coming through Kal it'll be warm, I have to wait until midnight if I want to take the dogs spotlighting in summer and its still high 30's!!, if I dont see you in Perth I might be able to catch up with you here. Use a good wire cage, so they have plenty of air and room.

I have to agree TB, there is just something about normal green showbirds. They are my faves here too, although grey/green is dominating atm
  23. Few random ones now- feral camel mob This fella wasnt afraid at all (guess he's never seen people before either!!) and was happy to pose for a few pics and would swoop down onto a rock I rolled. (give me a sec- it didnt upload!
  24. Mulga Parrot at the mill waiting for a drink Not sure if I posted this before- big monitor nearly 6 ft, eating off a sheep carcass at the dam, he looked like a croc laying by the edge. Not real exciting pics but thought Id post them anyway. The mulga parrot was a cheaky thing chatting away waiting for his woman to finish her bath
