Thanks Gals... Lovey... I didn't hide in hair, but I think I might be getting another one of Karen's baby. Nerwen.. Yes a recessive pied fallow.. mauve too. Bea, I'll swap him for Blink. hehehe... (I'm sure I can convince hubby that his present is going to a better home... (Laughing out loud) ) Here's just a photo I took of him earlier tonight. He seems to be settling great. I am torn as to whether or not I should trim his wings to tame him down a bit. He nailed me a nice one under my nail tonight... Oh any guesses as to it's a he or a she? looks different each day.. and even each photographs is different in tones of blue/purple. I think this picture represent the closest to what his/hers cere looks like during daytime. And here's a photo of his rump and his body colour hiding under those wing feathers.

I had to double check today when I was over there, and I can definitely say that Romeo is definitely NOT a spangle. definitely a recessive pied.

They are looking great Kaz... I do love Calico. Feathers... ohhh you crack me up... did we bet on whether you were going to be able to hold out or not? I think I would have made a quick buck or two on that if we did!! (Laughing out loud)...

Thanks ladies. he's a cutie. He finally ate a bit today. I wasn't overly worried, but was glad to see that he helped himself to some seeds earlier. well I didn't see him eat, but there's husks in his food bowls and around his cage, so that's good. Lovey, no this one didn't come from Karen's flock. He's actually from a pet shop. I was surprise to see him there. They shocked me by actually telling me to quarantine the bird! thats a first for me from a pet shop... (Laughing out loud)

She's gorgeous. looks exactly like my Mr Attitude.. She's an Opaline spangle grey.

All my budgies chew, and they chew alot.. mind you, I stick in fresh bottlebrush branches when they just LOVE!! they don't chew on my though. They still chew my curtains and put little tiny specks of holes in them.

Just curious, are the two birds next to him related? or was he a store bought one? My first impression was that he's a recessive pied. Reason for that, he reminds me of Bubbles's Scooter which is a recessive pied with hardly any markings on him. but Scooter does have the tiniest bit of spangle marking though, with a patch on the tummy. I'm with Rainbow... reason I thought recessive pied and not DF dom pied is because there's no body colour on the rump.

either a dark eyed clear or a double factor spangle, the spangle will get the iris rings and the dark eyed clear no iris rings.

I think someone's soooo hook on the budgies!! they are all gorgeous. I agree with Nerwen with the mutations. simply adorable.

Anythings possible, but the actual wing pattern doesnt match any dom pied I have seen. Might have to wait for iris rings ...or not ? Slick has the look of a DF dom pied to my way of thinking but I think he has no iris rings. Yeah I guess that would be the only way to go.. wait for the iris rings to show up or not.. hehe If Slick is a DF dom pied, all babies would be dom pied.
