You'd let me have her?!?! I was only half serious when I posted that.. I thought you'd just shot me down and say no again... like Beeper... (Laughing out loud).. though with Beeper, I was completely kidding.. hehehehehehe... I knew there was no way you were gonna let her go!! :hap: You're only in Adelaide, only like two days drive. hehe... drive over and you can fit more stolen budgies in your car to take back with you!!! (Laughing out loud)

Oh wow, that looks really good!! good job Daz.. I can't wait to see the finish product! :ausb:
  3. Oh I bet you didn't even think for the full minute!! :ausb: I was kidding anyway... I knew you aren't gonna give her up too easily.. hehe But yes spangles dom pied.. love to see how she turns out when she's fully feathered!! :hap:
  4. oh wow, I didn't even noticed the greymarking on the little gal... yes, looks like a spangle dom pied to me... even better... can I have her?!?!?
  5. OMG OMG OMG!!! Thanks for posting this information!! I've been wanting to find out if the peppermint trees are okay for birds to eat.. I've got a massive one hanging over my back fence from my neighbours yard... it's gives good shades, but it needs trimming... so guess those trimming will be given to my birdies!!! Woohoo!!! thanks sooo much Ohh, and that grey baby sure does look good now!! what a pretty boy. and look at all your budgies enjoying a bit of peppermint tree leaves.
  6. Soooo since you forgot to put legrings on the batch... can I have Beeper? can I? can I? can I?????? Kidding.. Sooooo Beeper is looking more and more like an Opaline, so if that's the case, little Beeper is a girl.
  7. ummm I'm not an expert, but I have heard and read somewhere that if you use grey birds, it'll take out that blue hue a blue series albino gets, and I think Opaline birds are pretty commonly used to increase the size. And of course Bubbles have told me that violet increases the brilliantness of the yellow in lutino. I have yet to double check that one.
  8. ummm I've seen him getting jiggy with it with one of my hen.... hehehe
  9. Oh nice@!!!!! now that's a pretty birdy with pretty red eyes!! definitely a fallow... GORGEOUS!
  10. Here's a couple of pics of my Double factor dom pied boy... see why I thought he was a she...
  11. So Kaz, can I have the opaline greywing chick from the clutch?!?!?! I'm sure Daniel will 'give in' again.. hehehe..
  12. hehe, thanks guys.. he's a bit of a Fruitloop isn't he... Oh that's his full name by the way I've decided... Loopy for nickname. It suits him a lot... I don't get what he wants.. he rather stays in his small cage and does 'the loops'... I'm a bit worried that he's not getting enough out time, but he would fly back inside and do the loop!! He's moving into a bigger quarantine cage today. Milo is coming out of it, so he will have a much bigger area to do the loops!!! We'll see how he goes in the big cage!! (Laughing out loud). Karen, the cage he's moving into, it's the same size as Mischief's mansion, so that would have plenty of room to the loop huh!! and yes he's probably got brain damaged... hehe, but he ain't going home to the budgiebird hilton.. coz he's home.. Armchair angel... yes, he doesn't seem to be very bright.. hehe.. but he's a cutie pie for sure... hehehe
  13. Firstly, are you sure the dom pied is a girl?? I have a double factor dom pied like yours that looks like a girl, but turned out to be a boy.. If it is a hen... All your babies will be blue and white. You'll get all dom pied babies.
  14. Just to go with the 'could' in your scenario... assuming that dad isn't split for anything, then the cock babies WILL BE split for Ino and recessive pied. and the hen will ALL be Inos and split for recessive. that's assuming that both birds do not have any hidden genes.
  15. By looking at the body colour on Blossom, I would say that she isn't a well marked dilute. I don't see any dilution on the body colors. I would says that she's a full bodied greywing, which is what you first mentioned.. However I'm wondering if Rainbow was more of a badly marked greywings giving the dilute feel to his colors.
  16. Here's another video clip of Loopy being loopy.. Cheers

(Laughing out loud)... oh Lovey, you're too funny!!!
  18. I am wondering if Rainbow was in fact a greywing and not a dilute. Because that would be the only way I see how it's possible to get a full bodied greywings.... If that rainbow is a greywings, and Skittles (that is the mum right?) carrying the clearwing genes which combines with the greywing genes to produce a full bodied greywing. 'normal' greywings (not the full bodied typed) can be hard to distinguish against dilutes. some greywings might just as well have very 'diluted' grey, pass 50% dilution.

Thanks. Otis, who I have renamed to Loopy hasn't lost any weight since I posted the weight a couple of days back. I think he's doing way too much exercises for his own good!! silly little boy... Now not only does he goes back and forth and round and round, he also goes up and down too now!! I wonder where he got all his energy from!!
  20. Cheeta replied to Cheeta's topic in Budgie Pictures
Thanks ladies... Bubbles, I don't know how he does it, but he seems to be doing okay so far with gaining weight and all those exercises he's doing!! Birdluv...he is a little character isn't he... very active, and still very tamable.
  21. ooopes, I mean halfsiders... hehe. thanks Lovey. :hap:

:hap: :hap: :hap: hehe, too funny... may be it's just the ones that come to live here... afterall, apparently Maggie the little puppy only peedle with excitement when I come to visit, and no one else.. it must just be me and the effect I have on animals... (Laughing out loud) Free-spirit.. yes, that's what your birds are Karen... Goofy is back to flirting with bells again! (Laughing out loud) Oh back to 'Otis'.. he's put on 2g since being here, so that's good news. he currently weighs 30g... 33g after pigging out alittle... :hap: okay, video clip is uploaded (youtube is amazingly fast tonight....), so here's the link for it... ps.. that crowing noise you can hear towards the end of the video, that's one of my boy quails calling for his mate. I had to separate them as they were having little lover's quarrel, and he was plucked quite severely.

thanks ladies. Otis does have a veg face. though it doesn't last for very long. I'll see how 'loopy' suits him, and I might just change it. :redalbino: Yepper, definitely another goofer from your place bubbles. :budgiedance:

You know it's a bit hard to say no when Karen says 'here's your boy'..... anyway, here's Otis, and he's settling in nicely.. although I should call him Loopy though since he likes to walk around in loops in his cage. He'll be moving in a massive quarantine cage as soon as Milo is out of quarantine in six days. he's currently in a small temporary quarantine cage, so I let him out to fly for a bit each day to get stronger. :budgiedance:
