Here It Is The All Nighter
So sorry Maesie that you had to pull out. I had a migraine just a few weeks ago and I know what you're going through. So have a good long rest and hope you're feeling much better very soon.

My Tame Hen
Well Laura and her family came to pick her budgie up this morning and they were all thrilled with her!! They couldnt get over just how tame she was and how she flew onto their heads and sat on their shoulders. They loved the certificate I had made and the "do's and dont's" sheet I printed out for her. They had bought a lovely big cage for her as well. Laura's little brother had his nose out of joint because he wanted a tame budgie as well so he's saving his pocket money so he can get one too.

Colin The Whale
Poor, poor Colin, he wasnt given a chance - every effort should have been made to save this magnificent creature. What it all boils down to is money and the amount it would have cost to raise him for the next few years until he was able to fend for himself. What a sad and sorry world it is.:fear

Pairing In The Breeding Cabinet

Colin The Whale
Sorry, who is Collin the Whale? Colin is a baby humpback whale that has been orphaned in the oceans of Australia. It has been nuzzling up to yachts in Pittwater Sydney trying to suckle the boats thinking it is his mother. Some experts are saying there can be nothing done but then others are saying we should at least try and feed him! In the meantime while the "experts" are deciding just what to do, poor Colin is getting closer and closer to dying of starvation! AAAARRGGGHHH - I am getting so frustrated - will someone just get out there and do something! (Sorry, I just had to vent my anger!)

Colin The Whale
It is so heartbreaking to see this gorgeous creature gradually get weaker and weaker. Personally I dont think we're doing enough to try and save him. Let's hope and pray someone does something real soon or we are going to lose this beautiful mammel. :hap:

Crafty And Clever Bbc Members
Well I dont get much time for crafty things anymore, but I can knit (when my children were little I would knit their jumpers with Bananas in Pyjamas, Bart from the Simpsons, and many other cartoon characters on the front), The day I found out I was pregnant (after many years on IVF) I started to knit a very lacy shawl for the baby which had something like 400 stitches on size 12 needles!! (for those who dont knit, it took about half an hour just to do one row!) It took about 3 -4 months to make!! I also do cross stitching, tapestry, folkart and patchwork - here are just a few examples!!

Any One Breed Cockatiels?
I checked on my babies this afternoon, the last egg has not hatched. All 3 babies are doing very well. I have just one question though, as you can see in the photo 2 of the chicks have yellow fluff, and the last one to hatch has white. I am presuming the yellow ones are lutinos like their father, and the white one? Not sure what the mother is called, she's a very pale silver??

Any One Breed Cockatiels?
Well you learn something every day. I have never even considered that that could happen, I will remove the shells now, thanks Maesie! (and Kaz!)

- My Tame Hen
Oh yes, she will be going to a fantastic home I am sure libby, but it's that "letting go" I just dont do very well- Any One Breed Cockatiels?
Will do libby! Me too! When I first bought the hen she latched onto my finger and refused to let go, I was almost in tears it hurt that much!- Any One Breed Cockatiels?
I will try to check in the morning if I get time before I go to work and will take some photos also. The parents are very good - they dont attack me when I check the nest. (Phew!)- My Tame Hen
Well my baby is going to her new owner this Friday . Laura's father is going to come and collect her so that she is in her cage ready for his daughters' big surprise on her birthday Saturday. I'm really going to miss her. She sits on my dishdrainer while I wash up, sits on my shoulder while I iron, etc. She hates going back into her cage, she'll hop onto my other hand to avoid going back in- Any One Breed Cockatiels?
I checked the nest this morning and none have hatched just yet. But I could hear 2 of them chirping inside the egg so should have chicks tonight or in the morning!!!!- Woohoo! Yayyyyy! Yipee!
There are 3 like their mother and once the others colour up a bit more I have my fingers crossed I have at least one like their dad!!!!- Woohoo! Yayyyyy! Yipee!
Hi everyone, well here are the chicks!! I have 3 of their siblings in with a foster mother and a little bit younger and havent coloured up yet....- Any One Breed Cockatiels?
Well it's only a matter of days now and I will have chicks, cant wait!!!!!! :hap:- Woohoo! Yayyyyy! Yipee!
My chicks are colouring up very nicely! I have started to bring them up inside one at a time for half an hour each to tame them. I will take some pics hopefully within the next few days!!- What Is Your Song?
I have no idea! It was way back in 1961 so probably a Beatles' song maybe? Next time I phone my mother I will ask her! - My Tame Hen
