Training My Budgies?
Here is a good artcile from our FAQ about taming your budge http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/faqs/i...&artlang=en I would not tame with a glove and I have read in many cases it is not good. Because if you tame them down with a glove when you take them off you can be in the same predicament where they will bite. Why are you wearing gloves? It is never too early to tame your budgie. 4 months especially if they came from a pet shop they are already getting wild so the best thing you can do right now is spend as much time as you can with them daily and work with them both at the same time and then if you can separately too. Taming 2 budgies at 1 time is a challenge but can be done with a lot of patience. Taming takes time for some budgies it can take up to 6 months or more for others just a few weeks. It depends how old, if you are taming 1 or 2 together, their temperamant. I would work on finger taming and not stroking. Budgies don't like to be pet like dogs or cats they like to be preened or get head scratches. If your budgie lets you stroke it it is probably too scared to move or tired (this is especially true if your budgie is not tamed). Again, don't wait to work with them work with them daily. The one thing about birds if the less you work with them the less tame they are the more you work with them the more tame they become. Welcome to our site

Bill And Ben (possibly Billie)
they are very cute, I can't tell the sex of them because I need a clearer shot of their cere. It if is a dark blue a boy, if it is a light blue with white nasal rings or a tan it would be female. Welcome.

Skittles' Colouring
On my screen I don't see hardly any marking but this is why he would be a clearwing Clearwing budgies have very light or no markings on head and wings and the body color is brightened (not lightened or diluted). so even if you can see some grey and it is very light as with this bird it is still considered a clearwing.

I Dont Think My New Budgie Is Eating.
You need to quarantine that is so very important as Sailor mentioned and having an extra smaller cage around is very practical in case 1 budgie was sick and you had to separate them. I think to remember is that he is brand new think of when you are put into a brand new situation how observate you can be and quiet before you know the surrounding. Another reason to have an extra cage in case the 2 budgie don't get along you will have to house them separate. If your older budgie has been the sole budgie for 5 years this is a huge change for him also. I would start out by getting another smaller cage today, doing the quarantine as suggested therefore you can observe if he is eating by seeing if there are empty shells from the seed you are providing him, and get to know him. Then when quarantine is over you can reintroduce them side by side in the cages. By that time your new bird will be more comfortable and your existing bird would have gotten comfortable with the fact that there is another bird in the house because he will here him singing and such. Do you have pictures of your birds to we can ensure he is a he? Unless you know how to sex them already just asking because (sometimes) females are quieter then males. Welcome

Been To The Pet Shop - Again
I would take the birds out and start quaratine here is a link from our FAQ why it is very important Quarantine You may have not had any problems but they can arise and there have been a few members who have learned a lesson through tragedy in their avairy. Especially if they are pet shop birds these are the ones that can really carry illness even if they look healthy.

Skittles' Colouring
your right it is not a mutation it is a combo of mutation the combo is so colorful and pretty I believe they gave it a nickname so if you were showing a "rainbow" you could example enter him in the Clearwing Group.

Yes You Guessed It… I’ve Been Buying Birds Again:
That is good..I know under your care he he will probably molt out gorgeous with good nutrition. You must start a breeding journal for him it would be interesting to see his chicks and the hen.

Greywing?
he is a gorgeous bird, do you have a front shot of him? He wouldn't be a greywing his marking are too dark. I agree with Norm

New Members Of Our Family
Nerwen, I agree with the violet gene you were saying about look how dark his cheek patches are. As with him being a 1 or 2 wouldn't it be a 2 because a 1 the yellow is restricted to the face only not the body.
-
Skittles' Colouring
clearwing opaline yellowface (type1) blues - yep that is what I found when I did a search Nerwen :fear

Yes You Guessed It… I’ve Been Buying Birds Again:
the first 2 are very lovely they remind me of my Merlin a lot. The last one looks tattered up but with some TLC the feather condition I am sure will improve.

Sleeping Spots?
your welcome, I believe a lot of people would agree they have night time squabbles or their birds go to the highest points here too.
