  1. You may want to put them out of hear shot because that is going to drive you nuts for 4 wks trust me , anways congrats on your new addition & good for you on doing quarantine. Name? Violet Vi Janey Aster Lilly Precious

Yellow Face Type 2 Sky Blue Opaline This is Maggie climbing around the room. Sky Blye Opaline And this is Sky, she and Lila are new to the household Normal Violet - unless there is a large spot on the back of the head then she would be a dominant pied. How long have they been with you since they are new? This is Lila, she is even more purple in life Yellow Face Type 2 Clearflight Dominant Pied Cobalt . This is Chirpy when she had her first molt, she has gone alot more green now. She is playing in a tree in the photo And this is all of them together! My answers are in red, I asked about how long you had the new ones because I wanted to ensure that you did quarantine before you introduced the 2 new ones to the existing flock, I like to ask because some people don't do it and other do so if you did that is good.

does that baby have brown wings? because then I would agree too and remember it would be a hen.
  4. I would suggest adding more to her diet since just seed is not complete diet. Here is the link to our Food and Nutrition Area, http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/faqs/i...=show&cat=5, she may be stubborn and not eat new food at first but there are excellent ideas in different articles on how to get them to try different foods along with our nutritional forum that talks a lot of way too.

    thank you
  6. too bad to hear the fostering didn't completely work out but that is good that they were able to get her through some of the really early stages of her life, what a doll
  7. I am going to go against it all and say that your other 2 are almost completely out of quarantine and why risk it? I would keep them separate and start their quarantine and let the other 2 finish theirs and you can intro them to the flock? Even though it is from the same breeder there could have been new members to the flock, the newer birds are more under stress then the 2 you have now etc...(blah blah right Elly ) anyways those are my thoughts. But if you do put them together then the first 2 will have to share that 4 week quarantine with the new ones so 6 wkes for them which is not a bad thing.
  8. oh they are pretty you just keep us updated on them feathering up
  9. beautiful shots, they are so clear for close ups, I really like the you got caught one
  10. okay, the last 2 pictures are such way tooooooo sweeeettttt
  11. Don't worry I have been strong & not bought a bird...but then the next week looked again & it was still there so it came home with me...LOL... No hope 4 us... At least Elly your more stronger than most of us...your only onto your second birds aren't you? But don't be complacent, your still not safe at any moment it could develop into a full-blown addition, be careful. Denise I just picked up on the fact that no body took notice of the fact that you said it has Yellow on the face & wings...it must be a Yellow Face2 Dominant Pied Cobalt Normal. Your right only on #2 and that is only because of my husband if I was single or didn't have a hubby look out....
  12. they are pretty I remember Tam posting them and that she was off on an adventure. They will be a wonderful addition to your flock
  13. I love the daddy and son chick picture they are mirror images
  14. Welcome and she is beautiful... I do agree with Andrew there is mixed feeling about mirrors but I personally have never used a mirror with either of my budgies. Many think it is cute to watch the budgie talk to the mirror bang it around not realizing that the whacking it is frustration because this object is not responding back. Also behaviors of protection, biting can come from having a mirror in the cage 24/7, some people will use the mirrors as rewards or just out of the cage time which is okay.
  15. It if feathers are brittle it could be a nutritional or calcium deficiency. What is his diet?

  19. Norm I left my purse in the car that didn't stop me from buying Pretty we went back out and got it oh boy...the addiction
  20. Elly replied to may's topic in Budgie Pictures
Good observsation and I agree with what you said Norm, you are very right about the coloring looking brown on the computer screen on those greywings. Not sure about the strength of the coloring on the body of the bird but if it is strong I would say it is a full body greywing.
  21. sorry to hear this, I know how much each of them affect you ((big hugs))

thank you all NickNack, he probably produced some beuatiful puppies...he was a puppymill parent that they rescued out of terrible condition. Libby I get that all the time is that a mini dobbie or a puppy , though they do not stem from a Doberman at all. Both the Dobbie and Mini Pin's stem from the German Pinscher (so you can say they are cousins to each other but they are not use one or the other to make the breed.
  23. beautiful flock

The 2nd once I am going with YF 2 Cinnamon and it would be a hen since the dad is a Cinnamon the first one looks to me like a recessive cobalt pied and looks male.
