My First Blood Feather
How to pull a broken blood feather You will need forceps (tweezers) to pull out the remains of broken blood feathers. Support the wing or limb carefully, locate the broken and bleeding feather. Using the forceps, get a good grip around the base of that feather and pull it out in the direction of growth. Use flour for any bleeding. Once the feather is pulled, generally the bleeding stops and further damage is avoided. If you do not feel comfortable doing this please call your Avian Vet ASAP. A small amount of blood loss in budgies can be fatal. written by Kaz in the FAQ's if it is not bleeding I would leave it but keep an eye on it in case it restarts you may have to pull it

What Mutation Are These?
but what if it is double factor yellow face that yellow is very deep? (just putting it out there)
-
Anybody With Answers?
Violet is an added factor and there is a single factor ahd double factor 2 cobalts could produce a mauve becaue they can get 1 dark factor from each parent
-
What Mutation Are These?
they both look like cobalts to me the mom looks like a sky blue but it could be the flash the babies look like the mom if the dad was a yellowface the babies would be yellow faces too since it is a dominant gene so I am going more with a green normal and the darker blue comes from the babies getting 1 dark factor..

Help - What Is Causing The Brown Feathers?
I don't have any experience with this but I would watch for any signs of behavior change and keep an eye on the dropping to make sure they are not runny.

A Beautiful Gift
What a wonderful kind gesture , keep checking with bird resccues or wildlife centers for Felix that is where he would probably show up if someone captured him or wanted to keep him and then decided against it.

Thanks For Your Advice On My Budgie!
They do bounce back as I learned with Merlin and do bond stronger with their human. It has been a year and Merlin is still flying sole and he is a happy boy. I am glad things are working well for you too. Keep us updated.

Bluey Passed Away And Now Tweety Won't Eat.
birds recover pretty quickly just keep an eye out for any signs of illness to ensure she didn't get what Bluey had. When Pretty died I kept an eye on Merlin and even took him in for an avian vet check-up to put my mind at ease. You don't have to get another bird and honestly I wouldn't for at least 2 months to ensure Tweety herself is not sick and if you do decide on another bird don't forget you will have to quarantine the new bird from Tweety for at least 30 days. Sorry for your loss

My Babies
A dull green can note an olive bird too better pictures would really help, see if there is a flower setting aka macro setting for close up shots. The plum eyes could mean cinnamons I believe.

My Babies
What setting to you have your camera on? Do you have a macro setting where you can take close ups? Who has the grey gene? The green bird? He doesn't look like he is carrying the grey gene but maybe it is the picture?

Atlas And Optimus Prime
If you buy the from the same breeder at the same time and the birds were living together no but say you bought one at pet shop A and then at pet shop B down the street and bought them on the same day yes. Always quarantine, pet shops give the worse advice. Also make sure your vet is an avian vet that is very important as they know more about birds then a regular vet (I have learned this from experience)
