bird bathes are not safe because they have a hard time getting out even for adult budgies from what I understand. I personally would not use it.
  2. I agree with Dave too and the rest.
  3. We have tons on biting here and there is biting out of fear and that is usually a strike out where sometimes there is an angry sound behind it others times not, then there is the flirting biting. What have you been doing over a 9 month frame to tame your bird on a daily basis?

The wonderful thing about the net is that you can find a lot of good stuff or a lot of garbage. You have to pick through it and use your common sense for sure.

He is doing it out of fear budgies can bit for different reasons, once you get your budgies trust it could be flirting etc... Everytime you introduce your hand you should have some millet or a fav food or toy of his so he can associate your hand with good things. Right now all he remembers is the hand that grabbed him to put him in the cage and so he believe you are a predator not to be trusted.

When she gets out of breeding conditioin she should calm down, right now though I wouldn't let her display that behavior when she does I would immediately have her step off your hand and say no, I had the same issues with the hand thing when you remove them you are like their mate removing themselves from that situation.
  20. Don't at first glance she does look recessive but when you really look at the patterning of the marks on the head and wings she is showing dominant pied. :celebrate:
