On this forum we are advised not to give advise about the health or anything else expect budgies, it states it above. I do feel though if he has not calmed down that you should phone for vet. Maybe he just had a fright but it could be more like a seizure that is very serious. Also if you do a search for lorikeet forums I bet you will find one dedicated to the species.

WOW you have done so much and not to have a complete diagnosis that is frustrating I wish I had answers for you. I would go with what you are doing on when he doesn't eat is regular seed because you always want to make sure he is eating. I am sorry I wish I could be more help :hap:

2 budgies, I say the more space you can give budgies the better especially if you find you don't always have time to let them out for flight time. Make sure cage is not too cluttered you can always rotate toys and perches and have the perches on the sides of the cage longwise so they can fly back and forth in the middle.

I think you really need to get into the avian vet I thought you were already going there. Three weeks on vacation WOW must be nice and he doesn't have anyone covering for him? You do need a diagnosis. What type of tests have they ever done on Percy since this issues started? A tumor should be ruled out by an x-ray. Kidney Issues by blood tests.

MB is right it is good for youngers but it can create issues later as SW said about the nesting.

I have heard that myth about pet vs show and I know it was discussed here by our show breeders and they say it is untrue. In fact your pet budgies are so over breed that you will find more health issues in them vs the show type that (we hope) are breed more for health and genetics and not the mass market.

Yes always quarantine, it is so important to never put in a bird straight away. Neat gave good advice that is what I would follow.
