  1. Deb, I think she may be delayed in development because she had such a hard start just like premature babies they do things a little later, I really think she is okay and I guess the best thing you can do for reassurance is take her in for an avian vet check-up. She is so beautiful.
  2. Keep us updated, I hope you were able to get this bird into an (avian) vet or simply a vet at this point, keep her warm, feed, and to a vet. Never self diagnosis.

Yep that is what I was going to say Neat, budgies in reality seem like they eat a lot but they really don't, they pick throughout the day. The best time to introduce veggies is in the morning. You can remove the food during the night and then add the veggies topped with seed in the AM. The best type of veggie to start with is kale or broccoli, I find apples are bit intimidating for the beginner.
  4. good point about blues Dave, nice shots of the aviary
  5. Elly replied to the pie's topic in Breeders Discussion
Neat, I agree I love that shot too all ready for the show ring mum Nice chicks, as always pie.
  6. Krosp he is very pretty and is family is lovely. Neville, he would be a full body grey wing correct because the body is bright but the wings are diluted or could he be a clearwing?
  7. drop dead cute Kaz
  8. She has you so wrapped Deb
  9. I think so, as long as her poos are okay. Does she drink or play in it?
  10. Elly replied to Elly's topic in Competitions
Yes Do you like to bake in your oven (if it is working)
  11. Elly replied to Elly's topic in Competitions
Yes and with the kids it makes it easy Have you ever played tennis

    flower
  13. Yes you can sky blue dilute are both recessive genes and yellow face is a dominant gene. I would take the time before jumping into breeding because if you don't have time to tame your budgie breeding will take just as much time if not more especially if one of the chicks needs to be fed by you if the parents don't feed it. .

  15. Ahh...not here they are so plentyful.

Nirvana is such a gorgeous coloration.
  17. I find that my boys loved the lattice balls that come together in 3's, keep mirrors out of their cage as that promotes a frustrated budgie not a happy one, mine also like preening toys where they could preen too, and a swing.
  18. OMG Jimmy doesn't work like that here hehe...we just go to the store and get a turkey they are for sale big time in November and my husband's work usually gives him one too :laughter:
  19. Thanksgiving is a month away lol...
  20. Another point is always keep your budgie warmer then usual during a molt because it is stressful. I notice Merlin will have really heavy molts and then the next molt is light but long lasting. With artificial heating and cooling it really can really cause some odd molting. :laughter:.
  21. Elly replied to renee's topic in Breeding Journals
    fingers crossed they are not
  22. Keep us updated, the most important thing as said is get him to an AVIAN vet AND also make sure he is eating once he stops you may need to handfeed him because if they stop eating they can loss the battle very quickly. Keep on eye on the poops that will inform you if they are eating or drinking, white = urine (drinking) black = food (eating). Good Luck.
  23. Very sorry to hear about your loss
  24. Amazing photos, thank you for sharing
