What Kind?
I think that it has to be either greywing or dilute. I'm awful at picking between them... My guess is she's a cobalt opaline greywing (maybe).. I'm fairly sure about the opaline part.

Identify A Budgie
I think that would make it a dark eyed clear, a sort of complicated combination of clearflight and recessive pied.

If you had a lutino male with a blue female, offspring males would be green split to blue and -ino. I've never heard of blue being dominant to -ino before.

New Budgies
I think he's a dilute Lovey -- his body color is so light.. but I'm not certain. I've heard people referring to whitewings before (??) They're all beautiful.. but I absolutely LOVE Smokey :) Rocket is great too.. I think he may be a violet spangle - it looks like he has a couple purple tailfeathers.

The Boss Man

With Death Comes New Life......
She's very pretty (of course) but I am a bit surprised that you got another so soon. Not because of what you felt toward Petrie, but because of the way she passed. Were/are you able to have a necropsy performed to make sure that she didn't die of some illness that your other birds were exposed to? Or do you have plans to take your birds to an avian vet to be tested? I know that you brought a sick bird home recently that didn't make it. I'm really not trying to be insensitive, I know how difficult it is to lose a pet, but I would hate for you to have to lose another bird if you can avoid it.

What Am I?
A bird that is olive has 2 dark factors. Green budgies are either light green with 0 dark factors, dark green with 1 dark factor, or olive green with 2 dark factors. Blue budgies are sky blue with 0 dark factors, cobalt with 1 dark factor, and mauve with 2 dark factors. The dark factors are inherited by their parents based on how many they have - but the most they can inherit would be 2 (one from each parent). Grey green is when a green bird gets a grey factor from one of its parents. If a blue bird gets a grey factor, it would be grey. It could get one from each of its parents, but it only takes one to show up. I think that homers bird is olive green - because the cheek patches are dark (purplish) instead of silvery blue, but I'm not sure.
