Can't wait to see pics. My doctor told me to eat a banana in the morning, but I found out I feel sick from anything "slimy", so bananas actually made it worse , so maybe apple would do the same to me. So far I'm okay with buttered toast (most of the time it's okay ) and I found out I mustn't drink anything till I get to work as the car ride and drink don't go together I hope I get nice UV picture next week so I can post it Link to comment

I know it sounds a bit strange, but I'm having my first baby, so I'm not 100% sure how much time baby takes (I know it takes a lot in the begin, but I think later, when I get used to all the new things it should be okay ?!? ). I know some women on a maternity leave who is so bored and don't know what to do with all the time. So I thought maybe I should have enough time for my birds . I thought I would start breeding next summer - when the baby is a bit older (but I will still think about it) I will be happy for any advise. Of course I will do my best to take care of all of them well, but I guess I'm just scared a bit :hap: Thank you Link to comment

Now I have 2 dogs still (our husky and a min pin our shep passed away), Merlin, fish, hermit crabs and now 2 cats (the other 2 passed away of old age). You will do fine. Remember the birds have each other so while you are getting in the routine of the baby they will be fine even if it is 6 months. Your care will be split of course and your #1 priority your new baby so during this time right before the baby is born I would stop breeding making everything very simple where it is just adult birds to take care of and worry about breeding once you have everything down with the baby.I can't tell you how much time you will spend with your baby (oh yes 24/7 (Laughing out loud)) but the personality of your baby is going to determine more on how everything goes. She/he could be fussy or not, all babies are good but all have different personalities and some are needer then others. My son (1st born) was very very needy I felt that everyone was ignored for a every long time but remember everyone had a friend. My dogs didn't hate me because I didn't walk them like I did they adjusted we all adjusted and over time things were normal with baby now. Then Hailey came along and walks ceased again but that is okay the great thing about pets is they love you no matter what. When I see I have to get rid of my pets because I just had a baby makes me very sad and sick because that is not a real excuse it just is not I have been there before and still am. Pets make a family, children LOVE animals and all children must be taught to respect each individual pet. As my shep mix wouldn't care if my kids rolled on him my husky was not so keen that was okay. The kids learned this I didn't get rid of my husky I could never.Zebra everything will be fine I promise. I can't guarantee smooth sailing but I can guarantee that even if you ignore them and don't give them everything like you did before the baby they forgive, understand and know once you get a routine everything will come in place .Zebra...sorry I just saw you don't breed (Laughing out loud) but that is okay if someone was having a baby and was breeding that would be my advice . I'm not going to breed any birds till I'm sure I have the time and money to deal with anything that could happen. I wouldn't give up my pets "just because we are going to have a baby". I love them too much . I'm just more sensitive and worried now and I think all the time (I guess it's a part of being pregnant ). I feel I will be okay once I get used to everything. I'm just worried I guess lots of people have pets and babies and they are okay, so I should be okay too . And I believe it's better for kids to grow up around animals, they learn to be nice to animals. I loved animals when I was small, I think most kids do. Thanks a lot again Link to comment

And they might be able to tell me if it's a boy or a girl I feel better now, I only feel sick if I eat or drink in the morning before we drive to work . But I'm a bit worried about my weight - I should already have like 5kg more and I don't (18.week). Last time the doctor's scale actually showed one kilo less - so I hope the baby gets some nutritions. Thanks for asking Link to comment
