I have put together a SF YFT2 dom pied spangle X SF dom pied spangle...and got.......... DF spangles, SFspangle dom pieds, and of couse I got 1 normal YF This is Mum and Dad These guys are sibblings.. He doesn't even have the pied spot.. But I do wonder if My DFS mask the dom pied!

Lady said they where yellow faces! Thats right they are Yellowfaces don't forget.. So they are a white bird with the yellow bleeding through.. They are not green ground DFS they are Blue..

With the quails, do you have some hay in the corners of the avairy? When I had Quails they told me that the hen will lay her eggs on the ground anywhere and when she is ready to sit she will gather up some eggs and sit.. All babies hatch at the same time like chickens.. I put hay in the corners of my avairy under cover, and never had a problem with her laying everywhere. She only layed in the corner she picked and when she finished laying she sat. The babies are so cute.. Good luck.

They are both spangle, arn't they? Very cute.. Baby one looks like a clearwing spangle. Dad looks to be DF spangle I can't see his back has he got colour? Baby 2 is just very cute.. I would agree with nerwen at this stage on the sex but it is early and it may be wrong..

A cinnamon hen alone wont give you a cinnamon baby. Dad has to be split or be cinnamon , for you to have a visable cinnamon. If Mum is cinnamon and not dad her sons will be split to cinnamon . If Dad is split to cinnamon and Mum not you could get some daughters cinnamon If he was cinnamon all daughters would be cinnamon. And parents are not spangle..

Good luck witrh the eggs.. She is a cutie.. Who is Dad? If you want to put the eggs into the concave then just do it very carefully, but she may take them out if that is where she is comfortable.

How did it go? Did you save the eggs and foster them out Daz?

I would agree with bruce. If you do inbreed you need the line to breed out again.

You said you have 4 birds are they all in the same cage? You may need another nest or 2 if you have more than 1 female.

I got a bit lost while reading this but will tell you about Oplaine.. Girls can not be split to it, so if Opaline will show it..All her sons will be split to opaline.. Boys can be split to it.. Bea if the parents arn't opaline then dad is split to opaline.
