  1. I'm sorry but i just can't stop laughing! Hopefully he'll grow out of it!
  2. I'm pretty sure ivermectin does both anyway.
  3. Where've you been hiding! *hugs* I feel like you haven't been around in AGES!!
  4. I gave Blink and Oz a chunk of brocolli and it caused a lot of excitement! The second he saw it Blinkie raced over screaming "kissy kissy kissy" and Ozzie silent walked up to it. Then they just started gobbling it up: I am lord of the brocolli! I want some too!!! I will sneak some... Sneaking.... Got you!! Fine, i suppose there's enough for both of us.

I would say that two would be fine in that provided they get at least a couple of hours flight time each day. It's similar to mine, just a different design.

Creamino is my favourite mutation so i think she's stunning! I haven't seen any around here so i currently don't have one of my own *sulks*.

She's actually a creamino which is a yellowface albino. And yes, if she were male her cere would be really pink.

Lookie what i've discovered, a rare species of bird know as a bat-bird. Ozzie's been doing this all day, i turn around and there he is hanging upside down looking around at everything! For once Blinkie's able to brag about being the normal one!

If you're going to let these eggs hatch you'll have to remove the other parrot (it should be moved to its own cage anyway, never house different species in the same cage. As you're aren't really prepared for this clutch i would remove the eggs and the nest box, if you decide you do want to breed later on once the budgies are old enough then you can re-add the nest box.

You probably won't find pellets in supermarkets. Most pet shops have them though. When you find them go for the finch/budgie crumbles over the larger pellets.

It was a big dish of endive, their favourite. Glad you liked the pics everyone! I might get some more later, right now i should be studying for my exams.

I decided it was about time i took some new photos of my boys. I shall destroy this thumb! And also this endive! Not me, i shall BATHE in this endive! Rub a dub dub! Fun fun fun! What an IDIOT!! Oh stupid one! I believe we're supposed to EAT this stuff, not BATHE in it! Duh! I knew that! I did! What's going on behind the pole? A little bit of kissy kissy i'm thinking!

I'm not sure what you mean by 'together' but a tiel and a budgie can never be kept in the same cage, ever. It's a disaster waiting to happen. As well as that, like brokendreamz said, 30 days is the minimum for quarantine. During quarantine the two birds should be in separate cages in separate rooms of the house. After that the two can be allowed out of their cages together but should be supervised at ALL times.

Platforms would definitely be a great idea! And maybe a towel on the cage floor so that when he does fall he has a soft landing. Put his seed and water dishes on the floor until he becomes steadier on his leg. I know of someone who's budgie needed her wing amputated and she's adapted incredibly well!
  18. Aw! How gorgeous! He is such a little cutie!

I'm not sure why they do it. Changing the paper on the floor of the cage daily will keep the amount of poo in his cage and hopefully reduce the amount he's eating. Is he just chewing or actually eating?

I wish we got deers in the backyard! Great pics of the boys too.

What's a pressure cooker? And it's not my problem if they start farting, the aviary has some plastic sheeting stuff to keep the cold, wind and rain out so they can keep their lovely smells all to themselves. I'm so mean!

I've been trying to think up some interesting things to feed the budgies tonight and i discovered a packet of soup mix which we aren't planning on using, it looks like it might make a yummy budgie snack but i was wondering if any of the things in it were bad? It contains: pearl barley, yellow split peas, green split peas, red split lentils, green northern beans, mung beans, black eye beans, small red beans, faba beans, whole green lentils, pinto beans. Also, how would i cook it so it's nice a soft for them?
  23. Stainless steel dishes would be easiest to clean. They shouldn't be so deep that they could fall in?
  24. Not sure what it is but it's not a budgie.

You really have some of the prettiest budgies!
