As he's over a year i'd say male. There's a fair bit of white there but if he were a she the cere would've got tan by now.

Blinkie flirts with hands, feet, cockatiels, dogs, toys, electronics, pegs, paper......maybe it would be faster to just say he flirts with everything! Ozzie flirts with Blinkie, food, his shadow, the wall and his toys.

I can't believe a company would be that irresponsible. I hope they get into A LOT of trouble, especially the sitter. URGH!! That poor poor family.

How terrible!! :ausb: I hope that the owners did think they had someone lined up for feeding/watering the budgies and that this isn't just a case of neglect on the owners part. All those poor budgies, keep us posted on how it all turns out.

He is STILL at it with the rope perch, i'd take it out but i know he'd got for the cholla, i'd take that out also but i've seen him at it with just a normal branch in there. All hope is lost. This has been going on ALL day!

...i think Blink has something on his mind today, something that seems to ALWAYS be on his mind, something alot of male budgies have on their minds. Let me just say that he started the morning holding his "Blinkie" bead toy and mating with his rope perch, not to mention he kept chasing Oz around the place because anywhere in the cage was too close to his 'mate'. After chasing elevated to jumping on top of and wrestling on the cage floor i removed the "Blinkie" toy. About 15 mins later i hear Blinkie's over excited flirting sounds which can only mean he's mating with some inanimate object. This time he was holding his ducky toy and mating with the cholla perch. I gave up and just tried to block out the mating sounds and think about poor Ozzie stuck in a cage with Blinkie the 'you-know-what' maniac. I've now had all the birdlets out for three hours. I honestly thought Blinkie was going to 'get it on' with the playstation control. And then just now he was on the playgym getting a bit friendly with a plastic budgie. WILL IT EVER END! Boys, who'd have them! I seriously think i could remove all toys and perches from the cage and he'd just mate with the grate on the bottom of the cage!

Beeper is sooo cute! I love him!

Here's some photos i got of my indoor flock while we were watching TV this morning. First here's a couple of pics of the tiels, then i'll get into the budgie pics (there's a fair few). Bailee (using sepia setting on camera) Cookie Now for the rulers of the house. Ozzie in sepia And a couple of Oz on his exercise bike! Now for some of His Royal Blinkiness And here's a little story about two lovely budgie boys settling down for a nap on the exercise bike - apparently just being on it is enough to keep you fit, even if you're sleeping, (Laughing out loud)! *snore* Blinkie: Hmmm, that Ozzie is looking a bit too cute....maybe i should do something cute! Blinkie: What! He's still looking cute! No fair! Blinkie: What if i do this? No...? That's right, just leave him out of the photo altogether!

Not sure what i think of orange lipstick! :rip: It suits your girls though!

I once had two males courting the same hen and as i was inexperienced i put both males in with the hen. Possibly just luck, but i had no troubles. Both males fed and cared for the hen and babies. I wouldn't try it again though, i would always recommend seperating into pairs and not trios.

Yeah, i guess that would do it!

Here's some photos from Ozzie's first bday. He got two pressies and a lovely millet spray. I think he preferred the millet over the pressies. He started the morning cornered onto his half moon perch while Blinkie humped a nearby perch, poor thing! Then he got his two pressies. And then he got into the millet. Cookie wanted a share And he of course just looked cute for a while. Happy first birthday Ozzie!

Hmmmm...no, so far she and also Oz are the only well behaved ones! Having said that i'm keeping the naughties too. :(Laughing out loud): Yes it was. That was what made it even worse. I was working on it for like a week!

Hmmm..... This afternoon i was sitting on the floor enjoying some quality time with my little princess, Cookie: Then i hear some soft clattering sounds across the room and i look up to see a puzzle i worked on for hours and hours being torn apart by 3 mischievious birds... I was absolutely MORTIFIED!! My hard work being shredded! "It wasn't us" claim Blinkie, Bailee and Banjo.... There must be something about the letter B (not in my case obviously, i would never destroy something of theirs :ausb:)!

Nope, I pulled back a few bits cause i though that stringy paper was more exciting for him than a wrapped present but he only started pulling at it when i hid his beloved mirror under the pressie. Typical Blinkie behaviour! I didn't get any photos of him eating his homemade birthday honey treat cause he didn't eat it!! I got photos of Cookie, Bailee and Ozzie all eating it though. I think Blinkie must be watching his weight. :(Laughing out loud):

Are they tame or untame? With my tame budgie Blinkie when he gets snotty about going back to his cage i pull out a bribe (in my case his mirror perch) and put it in the cage. He's in within seconds. If for some odd reason he's feeling even rattier than normal and he still won't go in i make the room dark, corner him and cup him in my hands.

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY BLINKIE!! I can't believe it's only been 2 years since my little darling Blinkie hatched into the world. Feels like he's been in my life forever. I love him so much. Anyway, i woke up at 7:30am to wish my baby a happy birthday. He got let out first so he could have some "just Blinkie" time with his mummy. We got the seed all ready and i let him have some seed out of the seed spoon (a very special treat!). For me??? Mmmm, yum! Tastes so much better straight from the spoon! *floof* Next i thought he might like a tap bath so i got a piece of bok choy for him to roll around in under the tap. He looooved it! Hehehe, in the excitement he fell off my hand. Then he got some mummy kisses, can't get through a special day like today with NO kisses. Next up he visited the tiels up in my room. And did a sexy pose just because he can! He also visited mirror Blinkie to make sure he was having a good bday too. And finally (for this batch of pics anyway) he opened his pressie!! And let's see what was inside! He didn't really want any of them, he just wanted to get at his mirror, (Laughing out loud)!! Being that it's only 9:30am i'm sure there'll be more bday pics (e.g. him getting his bday seed cake) later today.
