Your adults are aggressive? My babies must be more manipulative!!! They always manage to get food and preening from the adults!!!

Anyway, i'm sure budgies like the security of their cages at night. If they were out they would have to be watchful for predators!!!

I would never leave my budgie out at night. Someone could tread on him or my dog could eat him!!!

Although i supose i yell at anyone who tries to wake me up while i'm sleeping!!!!

I recently brought some heshen to cover the open sides of my aviary at night or in really bad weather. It helps keep the wind chill factor down and also provides some shelter from the rain!!! I cover Blinkie with a light sheet. It just lets him get a bit of darkness when he decides he wants to go to bed!!

Do budgies have really poor night vision or something?

It's a big parrot toy so should be safe for birds much bigger than a budgie.

I just hinted to dad that heaps of people change cuboards into bird homes......he nodded.....i dunno if he heard me though cause he's watching the footy! *sigh* Wow, the toy on the door is so cool!!!! Even i would be entertained by that thing!!!!
