Firstly, it's funny watching budgies trying to destroy them isn't it???? :(Laughing out loud): Secondly, why on earth would there be PVC glue in a seed bell???

Like pebbles? I supose but sand or lino would be cheaper and easier to clean.

I always thought that budgies found them boring!!! :(Laughing out loud): I guess not!!!

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone elses budgies like playing with those little latice balls with bells in them (i mean not when they're on strings or hung up, when you just put one on the floor)? Blinkie is mad about them. He gets on the floor and rolls around with it. He's my first budgie that has ever taken an interest in them so i was just wondering if anyone else budgie plays with them....

That's just the pin feathers growing through. The tubey bits will come off and she'll have beautiful feathers again!! :fear

Fair enough!!! I started home schooling last year. I hated school... :fear I actually do distance education so i'm enrolled in a school and they send me work. I can make friends there because there is a thing called mini school where you go to the school for a few days. It's fun!!! I think i have it easy. I noway have as much schoolwork as my other friends. HAHAHA!!!! :(Laughing out loud): Anyway, this way i can hang out with my pets all day long. Blinkie is very "helpful" when i'm doing school work. He chases my pen around and bites when i try to move him away!!! Spoilt little birdie!!! My dog also helps by shoving hi rope at my leg. My animals are so attention seeking. I'll go to proper school for years 11 and 12. Just decided i will. To hard to be motivated to do school work...... :(Laughing out loud):

I'm sorry!!! That bit you added about my gold wings really made me laugh!! :(Laughing out loud): I'm home schooled though and finish school usually by midday so i have a lot of time and very little to do. I don't know about the butt and eyes, haven't noticed anything funny shaped..... :fear Also everyone is one the other side of the world and is on late at night. Therefore i have also been staying up later than usual. It's not my fault that this forum is so fun!!!! :(Laughing out loud): I agree, gold wings in less than a month is sad..... :parrot:

It's something you should see in a cartoon!!! Or a comic...... :fear

No. I agree that they're impractical and stupid. :fear I would never put a budgie in one of those. But just imagine a neighbourhood of budgies living in these "houses". Visiting their neighbour and sharing seeds!!! Maybe they could have pet grasshoppers and go for walks!!! :(Laughing out loud):

I don't think there would be preservatives in seed bells. I'll read the ingredients next time i get one!

I am sooo not bothered to make my own seed bells. You can buy them for like $1.50 at the supermarket!!!

I gave Blinkie a mirror and he's much friendly cause of it!!! He still always wants to be with me and he's learned to make kiss sounds since he had the mirror in the cage (probably unrelated but he still learnt even with a mirror).

If you're going to have three have 2 males and 1 female

Fat budgies are sad. Buzz is fat (but steadily slimming down) and at first after breeding she would try to fly one foot and would drop to the ground. I had to put a branch from the ground to the caged sides so she wasn't stranded on the ground!!! She can now fly from perch to perch but it requires some effort. :bluebudgie:
  24. Bea replied to a post in a topic in Breeders Discussion
Why do you fatten them up? I read that you shouldn't breed with heavy frame or overweight budgies as breeding will make them fatter and make it harder for them to fly. I have also experienced this...
