I use mum's food scale and just get Blinks in my hands and then cup my hands over him so he can't run off while he's on the scale.

I don't see anyway that that cere is anything but male! It's so blue!

I think that with lots of time out of the cage and maybe if you arranged the cage so that fewer things are hanging down so they can fly about more then 6 would fit. Those poor budgies at that zoo, i really hope you can get them out of there.

I really hope he's okay. I think you're doing all you can giving him millet, hopefully he'll put on some weight soon.

What you coulde do is catch her in a towel and keep her eyes covered. This should make everything less stressful for her.

I'm so sorry. (((hugs))) It's terrible seeing a loved pet die.

She's probably still on her first clutch. When the babies are around about 4-6 weeks she'll probably start laying again so if you don't want more babies you need to remove the eggs and replace them with fake eggs (i think you can get them from pet shops?). Let her sit on these and once she abandons them remove the nest box.

Poor Bigger. He does look peaceful though. Glad there's nothing too wrong with Mrs Sprinty. :rip:

That's a terrible thing to happen. I have no idea what could have caused it but it would be a good idea to get some poo samples tested by a vet to see if anything shows up. Taking the other birds to the vet for a check up would probably be a good idea too.

:budgiedance: How could anyone keep a bird like that! And you have a lot of pets!! i'm so jealous....except for the spider and the millipedes...would love the snakes though!
  21. I sort of know how you feel. I had 2 mice a few years ago that got on perfectly. Then my friend got 2 'female' mice which then had babies. I got her male and put it in with my mice and it ate my favourite ones head off. I gave my friend her mouse back and never wanted anything to do with the other, so you did well to forgive your rat.

Her butt looks balder than normal. It also looks kinda messy. The only thing i could suggest is take her to an avian vet as soon as you can. Hope she's okay.

It not bad it's just hardly worth feeding as it has so little nutritional value. It's a good vegetable to start your budgie on as a lot of budgies seem to like it. You shouldn't feed too much as it can cause runny, green poops.
