They're not very nutritional but Blinkie thinks they're delicious so i keep them as an occasional treat.

Looks pretty good to me. Even if it is tall it still looks really wide/deep.

That's terrible. My thoughts are with you.

Hehe....i get quite a few blurry ones aswell, these are just the ones that worked.
  5. Oh, he's so cute!! I want, i want, i want!!
  6. Here's some more photos that i took today Gus Pud (I think he's still trying to grow into his head....looks huge!) Blondie All three
  7. Yeah, both are still being super parents! Although they don't feed the babies to bursting point anymore, (Laughing out loud)!
  8. (Laughing out loud)! At least i wanted them to breed.
  9. They might not understand what to do with the babies and not feed them, they are more prone to plucking because of stress and i'm sure i've read younger hens are more likely to become egg bound.
  10. At around 6 months old they are physically developed but not emotionally developed for breeding until they're at least 1 year old.
  11. I think budgies can breed even when their cere shows they are out of condition. The female i have who's got babies now for her second round her cere was getting paler but she's still ended up with 3 healthy babies. It might put more physical strain on them or something?
  12. I took some more photos earlier but i haven't put them on the computer yet. I'll load them later when mums off the computer (the one i put photos on, (Laughing out loud)).

No, i had a bit of trouble finding that one too. Let us know when you get some news.

Definitely get him to an avian vet asap. I suggest you ring: http://www.canberravet.com.au. This is the best avian vet i know of in Canberra and is where i take my budgies. Make sure you tell them it's an emergency and they should be able to see you probably this arvo. Hope your birds beak can be fixed.
  15. Block off the box rather....it's nailed onto the side (which seems very stupid to me).
  16. The chicks are 4 weeks old. Gus and Pud are completely feathered and Blondie is close.
  17. Stupid Buzz and Gherk have started breeding again! I can block the nest box off but would the parents still feed the babies if they were in a little basket on the bottom of the cage? I would just separate them but my spare cage is in use and i wouldn't want to just put the chosen parent straight back in the aviary.
  18. Thanks for the link, i'm having a look now.

Blinkie always gets them stuck to his face so i have to blow the away. Sometimes i kiss him and use that as a way to get the feather.

You should keep it as a weekly treat. Millets very fattening and having a constant supply of millet will probably mean that Ollie's not eating enough of the more healthier seed in his bowl.
  21. I suppose. Sometime today or tomorrow.

Well by holding a ruler besides his cage when he was begging to get out i'd say he's about 7 inches, (Laughing out loud), just like you said! :(Laughing out loud):

Thanks for posting that. Will you tell us the secret when you get the attatchment to open?
  24. Bea replied to Bea's topic in Budgie Talk
I wonder if he'd let me measure him....i'm curious, (Laughing out loud)!
