  1. Sorry but I don't have before pictures and it is not yet finished. I need to make the doors cat proof and add a second safety door so it can be open for the day time. But the shelves have been moved to fit the cages I had, now if I put them close I would have room for 6 cages (3 on each shelf) As you can see the second shelf has a few bits and pieces on it for the time being. The other side has the nursery cage in place and and old cupboard which is now empty that I will use as storage space.
  2. Here is the June 2007's Budgie Of The Month! Sent in by: standbyme Discription: This is my 2 year old hen Newton. She's a feisty one. She's semi-tame, but clearly thinks she's the boss. As you can see from the picture, she's going to be a momma. I love my little Newton so much. She's so full of energy and I'm so glad she'll have little babies of her own. I think she's super cool, and she's going to be a great mom! ----- Budgie Of The Month System Status Forum Members refers to the registered user group "members" Guests refers to unregistered visitors and non active forum members Forum Members CAN post replies to this topic Forum Members CANNOT post new topics in this forum Guests CANNOT post replies to this topic Guests CANNOT post new topics in this forum

  4. okay is it jut me that can see some spangle markings on the wings, close to the flights? I thought they were meant to have clear wings can they get a fault with light markings?
  5. Great to see the start of a very fun and exciting journey.
  6. good one Kaz. I have heard stories of that flecking moulting back out later on.
  7. Neither are a FULLY black budgie. Anthracite is a grey and the blackface have the markings in the mask and dody.
  8. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....78entry165978 Daz has some posted some here
  9. Seychelles Magpie-robin your hint was a big help
  10. ahh okay then it would be great to see new pictures.
  11. Well Jac has proof but I have always thought the Tea Tree as part of the eucalyptus family/group. I looked it up: The Myrtaceae or Myrtle family are a family of dicotyledon plants, placed within the order Myrtales. Myrtle, clove, guava, feijoa, allspice, and eucalyptus belong here.
  12. cool i got it right I was thinking Goliath but wasn't sure. Liberace and Big Vinnie have the same body shape.
  13. I know a boiled budgie egg stays clear (not white like the chickens egg) I didn't taste it but just mashed it up in their carrots
  14. That one although I understand the why behind it and how it can help makes me a bit worried for the people just starting on here and out on the internet.
  15. Guess who this one's daddy might be (think large) and he also has an older large violet brother ^ Is he brother to Big Vinnie? Sorry I can't recall the parents of him This is a new fledgling from foster parents...real parents Broderick and Elly ^ nice looking young one
  16. Are their pictures we can see? it helps with name suggesting.
  17. The grown hen that is the mother in the pictures.
  18. The size of the pictures where fine before Kabel05. You might have been seeing the larger size before since you computer was reading a cached image size and hadn't updated to the new size. Normally the email size in photobucket is fine. As for spangles your hen is a single factor spangle.
  19. Only a few more days to put in your entry folks. Don't miss out!
  20. No you can not past a Human cold/flu to your bird.
  21. Welcome Kathy Sounds like you have had a LOT of history with these delightful little birds. I hope you like the place we all love to learn and share knowledge. We also LOVE pictures .
  22. WOW she is a cute one, cinnamon and Opaline, blue on the wings instead of white) Is the youngest a pale one as well?
  23. Great shots with the bubs. As the other said they are all dominant pieds (single factors) the coloured marks around the neck/shoulders area and the patches of wing markings high on the wings are signs of dominant pied (as well as the big head spot as Kaz said) The wide range of pattens you get is one of the joys of breeding pieds.
  24. Well I see the same thing Daz They all look great and the last does seem to be showing signs of being all white. If the bub as red eyes then yes it will be a hen if not it might be either sex.
  25. *Nerwen* replied to ALLEN's topic in New to BBC
Welcome Allen. We do love pictures here it's great to see all the different birds that have captured someones love. If you can get clear shots of the cere we can guess the gender for you. We are normally correct (i believe) Wing clipping - it is a personal choice. As with all things there are good and bad points. You need to decide why you wish to do to it for and if it will help with that issue. Food- there is plenty if information in the Food And Nutrition area: http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?showforum=64 Also check out the FAQ area. welcome again
