Results: 50% DEC 25% Recessive pied 25% Double Factor Dominant pied

Daddy is carring the gene. The bub could also be masking the spangle gene hidden under the ino gene if she got it from one of them. and sorry I had to change your pictures to link becuase of oversizing.

do you have a 24 hr vet in your area that would be the frist thing find and take him too. If not you need to keep him warm and quiet for hte night to get him to your avain vet first thing in the morning! I remember reading that egg white will dry hard like a cast for little bird legs, but becuase of shock (which is something to be VERY watchful for) I wouldn't want to be trying things and handling him much at all. Put a branch very low to the ground on the cage so if he do fall it will not be far. There isn't anything you can give for pain to a bird with out correct dosage which only a vet can do. ( if there is any.)

okay I can't see iris rings around the eyes. Still not sure about Marie. You spoke about seeing some red to the eyes in some light and that makes me think you might have two DEC (Dark Eyed Clears) here. This is a bird with a dominant pied gene and a ressive pied gene. The two gene compine to make an all white or all yellow bird. Their eyes can be a plum colour.

picture would really help, the grey tinted one, that could be from DF spangle (sometimes they get some colour on their body still) OR it could even be a dilute of some sort. It's hard to say with out seeing the bird.

I agree Cheeta Althought the first two seem to have very dark cheek spots so I wonder about violets.

Cool pictures Karen I couldn' see them before, I was being naughty and reading the site at tafe. ( they don't allow access to the pictures becuase the of nanny type programes) But they are all so cute :fear Keesha - cinnamon light green spangle - agree, no green on wings means no opaline. The last baby from that group looks to be showing up as normal (possible cinamon) swift - 1 is looking pied - yep I can see that. Ciara - definitely a dominant pied if I am correct. - YEP Cookie and Casper - one may be albino - or YF Ino, this one will be a girl. They are looking wonderful Karen Good job

I'm so sorry to hear this :ausb: The poor birds. I to wonder if the pet shops could be warned about sale of stolen birds, but it sounds to me they just let the birds fly free. I would still put up info about the ring numbers some could be found by people later.
