let egg four go over a few days over the due date and if she hasn't pushed it away you can remove it.

Good thing to think of as well Eterri. Gout was crossed off my list before you should see a white blob in the joint areas. But the mites would have signs as well from swelling to what looks like peeling. But a vet check would be the best to be sure.
  4. Aww Poebe I'm sorry to hear about Mango Shawna hope you hear soon about your little one and what the go is. It's a strange sore.
  5. the sperm can last in the hen for a few day almost a week.
  6. WOW Una I can see why you are in love with her. Few questions: eye colour ( they look dark in the picture) tail colour ( the bit is see looks blue but is that right)

Yes I've read with out a comment :ausb: I can't wait to see the bubs of these two. Any interest with the new pair?

You go into my controls up the top of the page to edit those sort of things. It's important to check on both mother and babies each day, I do so morning and night at least. But I love watching the bubs and tend to look more often, I hand the babies from around one week old and have never had a hen regect them becuase of it. Also handling them help to calm them to humans and hand so they are close to hand feed babies.
  9. Hugs Bea your doing your best and I hope it all works out.

The only one I think of straight away is the scaley face mite, yes this can affect feet and legs as well.

Is she grooming them or just shifting her weight from foot to foot? Check both feet for signs of broken skin, redness or swelling. What sort of branch is it? Is it new? Is it clean?
  12. Tingle out yet again this morning, and trying some of the food. Cupid is HUGE but a big baby still even though she can balance on the branch, she sits in the nest box all the time. Marine was just shoeing Tingle that fresh food is yummy. And I put Cupid out of the box into the cage for osme out time and she is playing with both seed and sprouts

Give them the vegges and friut now on a plate with the treats they already love like the grasses and you should do well with them eating it. I found that when parents have bubs to feed they will eat any sort of 'fresh' food more readily than other times. also there is a simply page of genetics on my website just click the link in my signature Also welcome and congatuations on the BUB
  14. thanks for the pictures daz Kazza had a bit of fun before falling out of the box to the the cage floor, then the silly gilr lept out of my hands when I checked her and tryed her wings but missed the table top by a few centremetres and crashed to the floor :fear She is alright but don't think she will try that again all to soon.
  15. aww she is a cutie :fear Love the name and glad she is with you now. The wrong spot to talk about it for sure but does she look DF dominant to anyone else?
  16. The cere looks white all over which is a sign of a hen, it should start to change to a brown now.
  17. :(Laughing out loud): The colour is ver even and smooth so I still think boy.
  18. I think the cere is too hard to tell, but I thought he was a he in other pictures. I think I also posted before that I thought he was a cobalt opaline.
  19. I edited my post for you with their colours and which bub came from the fostered eggs. Darel's are the darkest Tingles are dark as well.
  20. I would think leave him in for the warmth but check on him more often for the next little while to see if the crip is going down.
  21. I can't say 100% yes. My first time with breeding Freckle laid a few eggs out of the box, The one I found not fully borken I put in the box hoping for her to get the idea and she did.
  22. The fact that she is checking it out means she is getting interested in breeding.
