  1. It's best to move the trouble maker fromt he group so her anger doesn't get turned onto another one now that your removed candy. I'm not sure about adding her back or not, left alone in the single cage I think you could keep a better eye on her and the eggs/bubs to make sure she is handling the raising of them. but if you know you would get a 'foster' dad to step up to the plate in the avairy it might be better to add her back. Sorry if that is a bit wishy washy but you are the one that knows your birds best. I hope little Ice makes it through and has a ball in his new home.
  2. :rip: then why even bother having a colour guide if different countries are going to set different standards?
  3. I'n glad you where not upset with us, just sometimes there are poeple that don't realise this crustyness isn't normal. I've heard of this vet from Bubbles so I now know the bird has been seen to by someone that knows what they are doing I would love a close up too for the same reason as cheeta :rip:

wonderful shots :rip: Lovey for the first little while they are flipped over to be fed but later when they can hold their head up and balance more they get fed more normally.

Great shot I love it :rip:
  6. I do remember seeing in a pet store a yellowwing with out a hint of markings, but this was so long ago I didn't realise how special that was. Most I see these days still have markings.
  7. Love the last picture. I would agree with the scaly face get him to an avian vet for treatment, a PM to bubbles could help for some names. This is contagious so treating all the birds would need to be done if it is in fact scaly face.
  8. the first looks to be a spangle recessive pied yellowface. I think type two becuase the yellow is on the chest and wings. Posssibly male. The second could be a Creamino or a DEC yellowface or a DF Spangle yellowface. Can you tell us if the eye is red and if not if there is an iris ring. Looks male again. The last one I agree with The_pie but I'm not sure on gender.
  9. she looks already some birds crops sick out heaps while others dont.
  10. It's a peace of mind to know that she is okay. Look out for heaps of pin feathers coming in they will be ichy.
  11. you were right Karen she is a spangle and I think opaline.
  12. haha Silly me not thinking of the ones in the background.

yeah it sound like all should eb fine, the babies themselves even move around the box until ma tucks them all under her again.
  14. :(Laughing out loud): I'm gald he like 'this' new gift unlike the ladder that he believe need to live on the cage floor. When he was still with me he loved his rope perch it was his sleeping one.
  15. I think your new one is a grey-green. In the large picture of is back the base of the tail (where it starts) looks black in the picture if he was olive it would be a normal dark blue.
  16. oh Karen such wonderful bubs. So Luigi is split for blue
  17. Maybe a bit like this: (one of Bubbles new birds)
  18. now that is great info :ausb: I think I will be happy to pick for sure greywing or clearwing in pictures now.
  19. The two shown in these pictures look like green to me not greygreen. :ausb:
  20. Stunning Karen :ausb: Are some from ganzer? (is that how you spell it?) Love: the DF spangle, MAGNUS, GRACY and CHERISH. But they all look super. can we get more pictures on this one? The last one is a spangle and i would think recessive too. Mauve or grey I can't really tell. But their is either opaline or greywing as well, since the lines on the wings don't look black. Do you have a Mavrick? If not I think the last guy look like one.
  21. great to hear that Mindy found a home Just think of where she started from when you got her Phoebe, you did a great job and now it's paid off. Sorry to hear about Star :ausb:

Toys to keep him interested will be great for him. I can see this is one spoiled budgie :ausb: I think you did the right thing by handling him straight off the bat. Budgies can get use to a routine, and I'm sure he will soon settle into yours and be fine while you are away, if you want leaving a radio on or music so the place is not dead silent while your away can help keep they happy. Silence in the wild means danger so the soft background noise acts like the nattering of others in the flock.
  23. sounds like it. Do they like a bath? if so add their bath to the cage for them next time or spray them with some water.
  24. now that's right. full body greywings are the joining of greywing and clearwing genes.
