Calcium Supplement's?
The bird needs Vitamin D to process the Calcium. It can't do it alone. Calcivet has vitamin D added for this purpose. There are other sources of both. I use Calcivet and also True Grit.

Oral Ivomec
A lot of breeders use the "1 drop to the back of the head" method. Why? What does it do? How does it work? only asking out of curiosity? I drosed my birds in 10ml / 1 lt. 132 of them...

2009 Australian Nationals
No only Black rings for this Nationals.... Why do you ask?? Edit: okay I just read it.. No 4 months I counted back that would be January. No only Young birds that have last year's ring on. So they have to be rung prior to 15th December 2008 to be elagable.

The Budgerigar Book
If you are looking at being serious and want some great information on the shelf. I would highly recommend the following: The Challenge by Gerald Binks The Budgerigar Book by Dr Rob Marshall. A guide to Colour Mtations & Genetics in Parrots by Dr Terry Martin The Master Breeder by James Bratt. you can go too far wrong with these as your basis.

2009 Australian Nationals
No......... SQ is the danger. We have always been a close 3rd... Had everyone worried at Busselton on Saturday night as there was not much between Vic, NSW and SQ. There will be a time that that SQ will win. it might even be this year.

I Am Going To A Show On Mum Day
Thats the way. Shannon I was speaking to David Ganzer, ex Australian President, he suggests that you really get into your club and feels that the members can help you where you need it the most. He is very supportive of the junior members and talks highly of the Mackey Club. Well done.

I Am Going To A Show On Mum Day
I start with Boiling water in an atomiser. It's only warm when it hits them. I spray every second day and add some AIL to the spray at the beginning. I will also use FS10sc. 4ml to 1lt. After a few days I use normal tap water. This goes on for up to 4 weeks prior to a show. I wash the birds the day before the show but despot the young and old starting on the wednesday and then every day till the show. Shows are always on a Sunday Morning. I like to remove only a few spots at a time.
