How Long? How Long?
Natouk, you are right thats not quarantine. How long has he been on their cage? If they have picked up a virus before comig to you, they could have allready infected him. He could have then infected his mate? As Bea said Try to keep them appart, but it may be too late now?

How To Help
Unfortunately the lawyers in Australia are becoming like those we see on American TV. They will try to sue anyone for anything. There was a case here where a drunk left a Hotel and drove to a petrol station. Filled his car and then drove out and ran some poor person over. The lawyers successfully sued the petrol attendant for providing the means by which the drunk could run someone over. Crazy . I agree with Hath. You have got to be careful in what goes into print.

Breeding Cages
With the Breeding Cage I made. I had to remove the Nest Box from the side of the breeding cage, block off the hole and cleaned the box on the table. I would remove the chicks and place them sometimes on the table on some clean newspaper while I cleaned the box out. I did this every second day. The chicks are now Fledged and don't mind me puting my hands in the Breeding Box to change seed or water. The Hen, Spangles didn't care at all. Just before the chick fledged, she laid 4 eggs. I would carefully put the chicks in a holding cage and remove the eggs carefully with rubber gloves to stop infection and then clean the box. Put the eggs and the chicks back in. The hen didn't worry at all.

Serious Health Issues
I believe that the course of vitimins being added to the water would be a quick hit that the birds would probibly require. A change in diet would certainly be a good perminate sollution. One problem a lot of uneducated owners have (note I didn't say uncaring, that is different) is that when they buy off the shelf bird seed 90% on the ime it says "a complete diet" which is incorrect. I think your advice was most appreciate. Thank you Budgie Care Publications for sharing it.

Boomberry, you could trim the feathers around the vent to help her. Some breeders recomend this to improve copulation. Give her a vent trim. Oh and watch that fingur.
