  2. Great job Splat
  3. Good to seeing it's moving forward... It's a pain when it stalls.
  4. No a Cinnamon Cock to a lacewing hen will give Cinamon Hens and Cocks that are split Cinnamon and Lacewing.
  5. You'll find that the gene's clicked... See how the other chicks feather up. If good, it might be definately worth another round from them.
  6. Congratulations on the Dusters. Many believe that this is the sign of going too far with the feather.. Also I am sorry. Usually they don't last much past 3 months.
  7. It turns out that they could be Recessive Pied Grey Wings. I'll try to get some up to date photos.
  8. ........it was a long day. I finished at 6:00pm I got there just before 7:00am...... Got two very nice Spangles Horrobins, and Hollingsworth.. Tried for the Spangle Opaline Sky but got blow out at $700 ... it went for $1550

  12. Sorry Invitation only...
  13. 3rd Pairing down ... or is that a Normal/Greywing to a Normal/ ? That would give 25% Greywings and the rest rubbish
  14. Normal/Greywing to Normal will give 50% Splits and 50% normals but you won't know which is which until you test pair them.. Not good. Some times think of your dominants as normals. Such as Spangles, Dominant Pieds and Yellowfaces. Look at them as a normal and you should go okay.

Giving them an option is the best way.

  17. Mason Jar Feeders can be bought through your club or from Pet City at Wishart. http://www.petcity.net.au/index.php
  18. Hi Renee Glad the nest boxes are going well GB here are the plans. http://www.thcock.com.au/Wells/plans/Nest_Boxes_small.pdf http://www.thcock.com.au/Wells/plans/Nest_Boxes_large.pdf Renee the wiring along that bean doesn't meet Australian Standards. It should have protection. If someone was to tie a wire cable around that beam to use as a washing line, it could cut into the cables and cause a big problem - Electrocution or fire. I'd nail a piece of 25 x 20 mm hardwood strip on both sides of the wire to prevent this.

  21. I was at a pet shop last week and saw the pet birds..... They were so small, like the wild budgies. It is impressive to see to two types, Side By Side.

Good question... The answer would be no but can wood shaving carry bacteria? The sand carries dead animals (sea creatures, shells and such) when it becomes wet the bacteria can occur. This was the touble with Henry's.
