  3. salmonella and you dont need mice for this to acure it will get into egg also causeing dis as well as afecting chicks from one to two weeks of age if eggs are dis and you open and they are smelly rotten looking its that i garentee it dead chicks fed with no other signs of why all symptoms run a coarse of your choice of medication to kill it,then clean all cages breeding cabinets and nest boxes and then spray with glen twenty leave to dry then your set to go any birds with chicks should be transferred to new clean boxes and room take a crop sample of next chick that dies or the feeding mum n dad you got a scope take a look i recon you got salmonella
  4. um cant you actually be not serious for one min ratzy well welcome stu and im sure that you will be able to work here to figure your death issue out as you said could just be normal birds do die but quarinteen does help prevent illnessess comming into you flock was their any sighns of birds being sick or just one day on ground was it constent or on odd ocashion this is all things needed to be concidered to find out reasons of deaths im sure you will get to bottom of it as for breeding will you be cage or colony breeding

  9. if someone got from pet shop and did not record ring then it truly is really yours as i would not give it to anyone that claimed it was theirs unless they knew its ring code or could at least show you a picture and name colour of ring if they couldnt do one of the three you are probbly its new better life you dont advitize the colour or anything not sex nothing just that you found a bird in this town (what ever town your in ) the date you found it and your number if anyone rings calming its theirs first you ask what type they lost c olour dont say colours then ask date it went missing from where did they have any special way it was identifiable they would know it had ring and its colour even if no t the number you know its 04 with out looking so sure they would know that also dont tell them to come see if its theirs ask if they can send you a e mail with picture of it you will know if they are telling truth its not hard to tell a owner from a scammer but 5 years hes really forgotten probably replaced by now sadly
  10. no thats not true if he has a ring the owner would know its numbers and anyway i wasnt saying you had to return him just saying their is a way if you did want to 5 years though is a bit far gone however i know if i find a animal i always try to find owner my alexandra parrot i had him 3 years before i found his rightful people they let me keep him just because they belived it was fate that he be mine given both sides of the storry of how he was lost and how he was found but they had peaice off mind he was loved safe and ALIVE

  15. I had a giggle too when I planted her and the peach tree and stood back and read FLAT peach !!! yeah i noticed that wasnt sure it was appropriate to mention :hap:
  16. the first step is to read up and find out how to breed them their are lots of threads and you can always pm a member for extra knowledge id be happy to chat do not add a box as just as they are mateing does not mean they will lay eggs let them mate untill you know exactly whats its all about no nest no breeding get a book from library on breeding budgies and have money behind you its not cheep
  17. welcome hope you find the reserch you need please just read read read then breed save lots of time understanding the whole process before breeding cheak out kaz post on are you really ready to breed budgies or something like that its called as theirs way more to it than just adding a box im sure you know that but many dont seem too
  18. im so sorry kaz but i got to giggle its a lovely tree though my lacewing cock is planted under a foxes glove lol hence my name ommi would be very happy to see the pretty flowers im sure
  19. another tip for heelers splat is always look then in eye if they do wrong you must go to him kneel at his leavle and hold both sides of his face you dont need to scruff him just hold firm bring him to your noses touch and say no jake no then pick him up and place him in a spot you want him to return to if you tell him to go away and say stay their if he trys to follow just place him back and say stay their , some where safe for him and under shelter as after a while you say no jake no got to your spot he will then soon as he hears no he will go with out you telling him to percistance is key to heeler training and actually showing them what you want then they will do it themselfs less words the better just straight comands hand signals work great they are workers after all
  20. true did you ever try find his real owner as i read you found him you could find owner by ring im not saying you have to just letting you know you could very easily try if you were concerned with that although he could be a older bird makeing him 7
