4 New Pairs Down Today
hello again well with aug September still a fair way off i decided i had 4 empty breeding cages empty and ready for use and just happens i have a few pairs ready to go so i decided to put them up ,while i wait for my chicks in nest to grow that way as per normal i will have babys hatching as babys are leaving nests this keeps me continuously with something to do so first pair i put down is as follows a gf cobalt domanant pie hen (with normal wing markings ) to a spangle vishual violet cock expected out come will be as bellow 50 percent spangle 50 percent normal 50 percent domanant pied 50 percent normal colours being : violet skyblue, skyblue, cobalt, violet cobalt, mauve and violet mauve at least one to two chicks being golden face but possably more then i have a mauve opaline dominant pie hen to a skyblue (normal wing markings)split for opaline and split for rececive pie that should producess me : 50 percent visual violets 50 percent cobalts of the following mutations 50 percent opaline 50 percent normal with 25 percent being cocks split for opaline 25 percent being opaline (cocks that is ) 25 percent normal hens and 25 percent opaline hens ..........but wait theirs more ! as the hens mother and father are both split for rececive pie as is the cock she is with that could mean that i get a few if not more or at least one rececive pied in this clutches out come (if she got rec gene passed on ) then my 1 factor violet skyblue cinnamon opaline hen in frount then cinnamon (normal wing ) violet mauve split lacewing split opaline cock on right looking at you this will give me all cinnamon 50 percent visual violets 50 percent cobalts of the following mutations 50 percent opaline 50 percent normal with 25 percent being cocks split for opaline 25 percent being opaline (cocks that is ) 25 percent normal hens and 25 percent opaline hens and lacewing hens i hope then last pair is a golden face cinnamon opaline 1 factor violet dominant pied hen and a skyblue (normal wing) split for cinnamon ,opaline and rececive pied these pair will give me same rezults as the mauve pairing with the rececive pie out come a posability as the goldenface hens father was split rec pied as is her partner (again if she got the gene passed ) 50 percent visual violets 50 percent cobalts of the following mutations 50 percent opaline 50 percent normal with 25 percent being cocks split for opaline 25 percent being opaline (cocks that is ) 25 percent normal hens and 25 percent opaline hens .....also cinnamon cocks and hens normal hens all cocks that apear normal will b split cinnamon got to be happy with that i cant wait pretty sure thats all corect

well today the boys are still alone i decided not to place anybirds with them after all when i went out to cheak them and open shed for air the one that flew low to grown about a meter flew up in fright about a foot in air this is promiseing sjw when you say incorage them with food and water do u mean place it up a little above their heads im frightened if i do that they may just not eat at all they seem not to be eatting much due to new inviroment anyway so not sure i should do that as yet but may try it later date what could i get them vitamin wize to help build their condition up a bit after all they molting now and mabe the will come good once they finish still growing pin feathers in head and new tail comming in

A Few Key Player To My End Rezult
okay well i got my a into gear and took pics of all birds and chicks so here they are i hope i dont confuss you as their has been a lot of egg and chick swapping im not use to that so myself have lost chicks  but placed in nests where by rights you should be able to tell due to mutation who is who grey spangle hen to opaline grey normal split to rececive pied cock bird this pair hatched out 4 chicks one was moved and then died (it was the chick i revived ) second one hatched she did not feed it third one hatched and she feed it second one hatched and lived then the other day my albino hen and her partner he was going in and out the nest and he is so big he squashed two out of five chicks in two days so i fostered them to grey hen so ....she has now five chicks again and is very happy and a very good mum i had to resusatate one it was cold and i thought id lost two in one go but i did the blow of life and chirping moving under the new mum and baby saved this is mum she is a first time mum and messy feeder thats dad next to her and babys this the saved one split albino well will post more of others after next lacewing and her foster chicks these are all pet type pairing as i decided to wait with trying to breed show type chicks for now okay her is some more lacewing hen and grey split albino spangle cock bird (the cock with her is not father of chicks i decided to pair these to as soon as eggs were layed he has taken on roll as dad really well hopefully i get a second round with him as dad ) two chicks both albino one foster my lacewing hen on left now on right the babys the albinos are the littlest ones the foster chick

i love that one i just paired that pair up ready to put down in late aug, sep they just getting a month or so in aviary to build their strength soon as i see them start to regularly mate theirs a breeding cage waiting i do this often i find i get better fertility rate and birds are healthier and hens are fit to easyly lay eggs usually take a week to 12 days at most after being put down into breeding cage i pair about 6 pairs they all go in cages same day and all get put to aviary same time

My Opaline Greygreen Split To Lacewing Cocks
yes you are compleatly right blake they have all feathers and like i say no sighn what so ever of ever being french moulters and i feel the breeder would not of sold me birds he did not think were usable this much i do know how ever i do tend to always think the best of every one and who really knows anybody :glare: im not even sure if he even is awear they dont fly as as i said they were brought down for me to look at and have been sitting idol for some months in wait i was under the impreshion the birds were no longer for offer but the breeder was waiting on me to veiw them so wires were crossed wrong leaving birds caged in small sale cage for some time now they are hoppers  not runners one can fly about one meter distance and 2 inches hich off ground then hopped as i got them out in the shed to see if they could fly at all or what the other one he just hopped around everywhere i would be interested to hear your outcome thank you blake as this is a big step for me i was trying to get the best possable mate for my lacewing hens and being sisters i thought fantastic buy two non related brothers for my sisters who could ask for better start and they are magnificent boys at that they are moulting at moment and their tails are growing in fine so.... i dont know the awnser or the reason for it -_

My Opaline Greygreen Split To Lacewing Cocks
well i have seen cases of french moult and french moult survivors and they do not look like that to me either what else can cause this could it just be that they very big birds and haven't had flying room i mean they could of im not certain they seem very frightened when ever i go near them also im afraid they may have a heart attack on me i guess it wont hurt to just do one clutch and if by chance it has any runners i will not breed them again also will put a note on chicks file that they breed from runner that way if any ever show up i will know what the cause was and i will just keep a vidgalent record of their chicks and their heritage on and on year after year each generation but what if one does pop up in say two three generations then thats my fault for breeding with a bird with bad genetics in first place i know they very good birds and would defenently give me exellent rezults but at how many birds in the futures cost of flightless ness :glare: i really need some strong evidance to show me this is a safe and okay practice if anyone else has breed simular birds please can i here your experiances with out comes in the future generations please
