  1. Congratulations, it is worth it. Well done.
  2. Yes, it is a texas clearbody baby, I posted a thread about him in the mutations section. I first thought him to be a cinnamon.
  3. You should enter this one into budgie of the month. I love violets. Its funny how if you put babies on your shirt or a blanket, they will always try find a spot to snuggle into.
  4. Looks like flash was used so it is hard for me to tell. The blue one looks to be a skyblue cock I cant say what the green one is because it is so bright.
  5. I love that.
  6. Are both birds tame Hills? they are really nice birds, I also love the playgym you have. Well done.
  7. First, second and third pictures definitly look like hen. 4th picture looks like a cock.
  8. If you dont have ivermectin you can use vaseline or olive oil. It blocks the wholes where the scaly mites are and suffocates them. Apply it on the cere but be carefull of the nostrils.
  9. Sometimes pet shops sell young babies that are not fully weaned. Your bird may not know how to eat and digest seed properly, that would cause sickness.
  10. 2 days till the first baby is expected to hatch. :anim_19: Grey green pair are also showing alot of interest in the box.
  11. The lacewing is being bred with a pet type bird, and the lacewing is unrung. It will have nothing to do with my show birds, when I eventually join a club. Thanks
  12. Hen, Cock, Hen. I am 70% sure of the cock, as you used flash it is hard to tell. I am 90% sure the 2 blues are hens.
  13. My birds also enjoy frozen veggies. I get country harvest stirfry mix, cheap and easy.
  14. It looks good to me. It would definitly fit 2-3 budgies in it. I've never used an avairy like that before but I cannot see anything wrong with it.
  15. I make my own but on one occasion I bought some from a pet shop. You can add water to it if you wish or you can leave it powdery. I find the birds like it more when its wet and soggy. I also mix with with vegetables and fruits. I give it to the breeding birds 3 times per week and the avairy birds twice a week.
  16. I agree with liv, I really hope they get better.
  17. Hi. are smokeys wing markings brown or black? I cannot tell if they are brown or black. If they are brown then that explains his ligher colour, cinnamon dilutes body colour 50%. If they are blakc the only suggestion I can say is that ashley has more dark factors (grey factors) than smokey.
  18. Hi. I will do an update. Pair one, yf skyblue x cobalt cock. 1 egg was laid today, she has not started incubating yet but this is normal. She is a good mother and he is a good father so all will be good. This will be their second and last clutch for the year. pair 2, pet pair. 6 eggs to this pair. They are very wild birds and dislike humans. She incubates her eggs very well, and all look very white. So hopefully they are fertile. pair 3, pet pair. 7 eggs to this pair. Same as above pair, except only 3 eggs are showing fertile. pair 4. Grey green show pair. Hen and cock both show interest in nest box, wont be long now. Pair 5. The lacewing that we are all confused about. She still has the green feathers after many washes so I have determined she is a lacewing with suffusion. Breeding will prove it. Shown no interest in the nest box so far, its still early days.
  19. Hi and welcome to the forum.
  20. That is the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Awesome find.
  21. Pearce replied to Pearce's topic in Breeders Discussion
    She laid an egg today.
  22. Pearce replied to Pearce's topic in Breeders Discussion
I dont want to risk putting her in the avairy and then she lays eggs.
  23. Their are plenty of good articles on various budgie forums and other budgie sites. Try this one shannon: http://www.officialbarrieshuttbudgerigars.com/ I use it alot. Or use the faq's..
