  1. I mis understood what you said. I believe its fine to quarantine birds in pairs in breeding cages. I have done this before. I believe it is better to have them isolated for 90 days than 40 days then introduced into the aviary. and Yeah dave is right, by the end of quarantine the birds will be bonded. These are just my thoughts and opinions.
  2. not yet kaz. Its been a week so their is still a chance but it looks like it will not grow back.
  3. Thanks Dave. At the end I will post all 42 photos together so you can see how fast they grow.
  4. This is a old topic. I received many opinions and 90% of the people said the head will regrow again and again, I am currently testing it.
  5. you should wait a few months before breeding because the birds will be stressed in their new home. Quarantine for atleast 40 days and then start thinking about breeding. i would personally put them in the flight for an extra 2 months then start breeding them. Just my opinions.
  6. that budgerigar is a black face. http://www.budgieplace.com/c_blackface.html

  11. I leave them in their for 1 month. if no action they are split up. I sometimes try them again, or I change pairs, or I retire them. Depends on the birds.

  15. Hey Daz what are some things that contain vitamin d3? do any vegetables contain it? If your birds do not get access to sunlight, what is a good substitute for it? thankyou.
  16. thanks kaz.
  17. is anyone able to tell me if any of these babies show any promising features with regards to showing. Do they have potential or am I on the wrong track. I've seen some show winners that I feel my birds can match or beat. I'm curious to know if they do have potential or if they should be sold as pets.

  20. thankyou all. Could someone please tell me the faults and good points of each bird? and also if they have any show potential. I've seen some show winners which I feel my birds can match or beat. I may be biased as they are my birds but I'm curious to know. Are they show standard? or close to it?
  21. It's a very good product. Especially for breeding birds and weak babies. 1 drop to the beak and its an energy boost. Another similar product is avi-cal. I have never tried it but I beleive it to be the same sort of stuff.
  22. thankyou all.
