I need to know if any of you know the answers to the following questions so I can start writting up my monologue: How relevant is it to todays society? and What are the major discourses in 1984? P.S thanks for the people who helped me with my biology assignment, I've got to present it tomorrow.

But theres were I have the advantage. My best friend is in leuge with the RSPCA and also what her husband has done to me will also back me up on this issue. Hes commited and stillis commiting a serius crime and I will not stand it they can't hold me to it because I am under age. Plus my cousin already nows what I will do she nows that I could easily get her and her husband fined for animal cruelty and I'm not affraid of what her husband mit do to me because of it. I stand up for animal rights people in my family who do that will no longer recieve my love or forgiveness because what they have done is not only a serius crime it's also killing one of God's magnificent creatures and yes I am religious and stick up for what the bible staites clearly about looking after our animals and when I find it I will post it for all to read if they wish.

okay this morning I went to school while grandma went and saw my oldest cousin. She asked her how the puppies were and chantelle said that one was sick. Grandma said that she should take it to the vet 5minutes walk down the road. Chantelle has no car and her idiot of a husband says they can't afford it. Lier....... Well Grandma said that she would take it to the vet herself. Too late the puppy had already died had been sick with 3 ticks for a couple of days. It makes me sooooo angry. Chantelle said to grandma not to tell me but Grandma did. The other puppy that was the puppies sister there gonna leave at the RSPCA. What gets me is that she had a puupy once before and they couldn't afford it so her husbands family told her to dump it on the side of the road she took it to the RSPCA cause she couldn't afford to look after it. So they get 2 puppies not 1 but 2. Double the cost. Well 1 is dead the other well don't know what will become of it. I'm angry soooo angry I think I am going to tell the RSPCA about it. I have also told my Grandma that when I manage to get Chantelles number I will call her to tell her that If I ever find out that she has animals I will personally ring the RSPCA myself OR collect the animal from there yard and take it to the RSPCA myself. The fact is him not taking the animal to the vet in the first place, he could be fined up to $5000 just for refusing to take it to the vet. Any other suggestions??? By the way they had a budgie but only god knows whats happened to it!!!
  4. So does it do any good whats so ever??? and does "plaster of paris" mean its bad for them????
  5. I went to the pet store today and there was two different sorts of calcium bells. Which one is best??? Calcium & Charcoal OR Calcium & Iodine I dicided to go with the calcium and Iodine as I wasn't sure about the one with charcoal in it but which one is really the best for budgies.
  6. Assignment task outline: Class Arachnida You are to provide an extended response in the form of a 10 -15 min presentation that discusses the features of a particular phylum, sub-phylum or class from the animal kingdom. You must discuss the distinguishing features of your chosen group and demonstate an understanding of key concepts and ideas involved in biological taxonomy. You are also required to collect and organise secondary data and draw meaningful conclusions that may include the evolutionary nature of the group, it's adaptations and environmental impact. This is my year 11 biology assignment. I have pritty much got all I can get from the internet just wondering if anyone studies that in uni or TAFE etc and just wondering if you had any info on this subject if you could post it please as I really need some help. If you do post info please reference it. Thank you
  7. I have entered a photo of Molly into Budgie of the month, I think.... I am sure I did but I don't remember. The green thing is an enclosed birdie bathroom. 1 side is opened the others are enclosed to stop water spray going all over the cage and the floor. It normally clips onto the side of the were the middle entrance is but it leaves a small gap and I don't wont my budgies getting out or getting choked.
  8. Here are some more pictures, these were taken this afternoon. 9. Can you post some pics of the pairs???

I had a budgie that used to hump his toys and regurgitate his food all over the toys, its natural for animals I guess. But don't add a nest box if you don't want them to breed but If you do want them to breed please be sure that you have read all you can about budgie breeding as it's not as easy as some people think there are many problems to consider when breedings like if the hen is too young she can become egg bound etc.
  12. Update: Today was a mile stone for Molly. In the mornings when I cut up the budgies fruit and vegies Blue is always first to get into them. Well this morning I was holding the white food containers in my hand and offering it to the birds. Blue quite happily sat on my finger and ate out of the food bowls like he normally does but this time Molly came a little closer and then a little closer until she could stick her head in the food bowl as well. She got a piece of corn out the bowl and ran away with it to eat it else were. Without Blue she won't come anywhere near me but if Blue's there too she will come too. Thats the first time shes done that, she did do it before we left her and Blue with a house sitter when we went away a couple of months ago and then I had to regain her trust all over again as we were gone quite a while and our house sitter didn't get either of them out for the 2 weeks we were gone. But she's starting to trust me again which is good. I'm gonna get them out later and work on Molly's gliding onto my bed excersise and maybe work on some step ups (ladder) also. Here are some pictures I took this morning. I will keep you updated on Molly's progress. Bath time last week: Blue loves the shower, Molly loves to bathe in lettuce leaves or with the mist spray bottle. Blue eating out of the white food bowl (One of the techniques I use to slowly gain their trust) Blue has always done this as he was an older bird when I got him and he was also very tame too despite being with other birds in the pet store. I can also hand feed him. Blue also ways the first into the fresh food: There are to fresh food dishes available in the cage Both now eating the fresh vegetables (Corn, carrot and zuchini) This weeks set-up: I change the natural perches every week as by the end of the week they do get grubby and they have usually shredding everything they can of the perches. Also it stops them become bored if I change there cage around weekly. The green lid container at the bottom of the cage is a clip on bird bath but I don't clip it onto the door because It leaves a gap big enough for them to put there little heads through. (Don't want them getting out or worse choking themselves so I put it in the cage for them, they haven't worked out yet what it is for but I have seen Molly drinking from it) Budgie kisses, also pics of them chatting to each other (I have never seen Blue so happy in the few years I have had him, he was never this happy or chatty with Auzzie his old friend whom we had to have put down ) Were also buying some saw dust tomorrow from the pet shop as I have heard about some pretty sad stories of budgies breaking there beaks when they have fallen of perches etc. It will make more of a softer landing for Molly when she does land on the floor of the cage.
  13. Every since I got Molly I have noticed the difference in the colouring of thier legs and feet, Blue has greyish, bluish legs and feet while Molly has pink feet. Is this due to health reasons or the fact that they are different ages or genders???
  14. We got the same message on our home computer and got it, we thought it was funny that our other anti virus thing didn't pick up the viruses that we supposably had on our computer an extimated 2500 trojan horse viruses it said we had on our computer. Well we don't have that computer anymore some virus got into it and took control of the entire computer.
  15. I'm just a bit worried wether Blue will get it or not. He seems normal at the moment but then he isn't a young bird.
  16. From the pictures above can anyone tell me an estimate of how old she would be. I have read that if they have lost thier bars and have a white iris there about 7 months but I have only had Molly for nearly 3 months and she was we think quite young when we got her but not sure of her exact age. Her iris isn't as white as Blues. (Hes turning 4 this year)
  17. I love the zoo every holidays I go to Australia Zoo and do a volunteer programme I get to work with all different animals but the Rainforest avairy has to be the best department to work in.
  18. Well done with the rescued budgies. Have you ever been to Langkawi. Theres a brilliant bird centre called Langkawi bird park and it has a massive avairy just for rescued budgies it's really beautiful with all the auzzie native plants and they probably had a budgies of nearly every colour it was amazing I just wish we had something like that at Auzzie zoo here in QLD.
  19. Well Molly isn't an adult yet but I think she may have french molt as she keeps on losing her fligh feathers when she tries to fly.
  20. okay so they should be fine them, Thanks it's a real silly question but I wasn't sure how easy it was for them to catch colds etc.
  21. “French moult is caused by a virus, it effects birds while they are young in the nest & then soon after they leave the nest the flight feathers fall out when they try to use them as they are weakened by the disease. Most in my experience will quickly grow back their feathers & can fly, but some never do & then never can fly properly. You can only wait & see. Once they recover in my experience they are just like normal birds & then are immune. It's not a good thing to buy birds that have it, as now you will have introduced it to your birds. Once you have it I think you have to basically live with it, it's nuisance but most birds get over it. Some people use sprays to try to control it but I'm not sure if it works. It's very common in Budgies.” – Norm I was reading through a forum and a thought came to me while reading this part Norm had said in the forum so I quoted it. The bolded part does that mean that If you introduce a bird that has French molt it will infect other birds who are healthy or will it only get transferred through breeding??
  22. It's 19 degrees C inside which is about 67 degrees F it would probably be a bit warmer outside though is that too low or should they be fine just because I haven't seen weather or not they like the shower spray on them
  23. Little Miss Molly
  24. It's a fine sunny day here in Bayside, Brisbane area with a top of I think about 19 - 20 degrees, but just wondering what air temperature is the minimum you can go before deciding weather or not to let your budgies have a bath???
  25. Well i'm not meaning 1 want more budgies at present as Im still living at home but I would like to get a couple more later on. My budgies cage at present that holds 2 regular sized pet type budgies measurements are 47cm long, 35cm wide and 67.5 cm tall. I would like some more birds when I move out but not a big enough number as to have an avairy as I don't think rental properties would allow you to build an avairy. But i had a look at some really big indoor cages at the pet store yesturday just to get an idea on the price range.
