  5. What???? There have been girls get pregnant at 12... Doesn't make it ethical!!!
  6. Well I went over to my wife's Aunty and Uncles house last night for dinner and had the honour of meeting Bluey!! Sorry for the poor quality iPhone pictures:) http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg237/JimmyBanks/Bluey/20f71046.jpg http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg237/JimmyBanks/Bluey/ec23465d.jpg He's a cutie... had fun on my shoulder all night. Cheeky though, whoever said they don't eat meet has never met this guy, he was nibbling at my neck all night Are these photo's massive on everyone else's screen?? I down sized them to the proper size but they are coming up huge on my screen...
  7. Not in the case of yellowface albino Does anyone have a scientific explanation why that is the case?
  8. Like it a lot Matt. Just curious what are the 2 flights for? Are you having a Juvi and an Adults or separating Hens from Cocks?
  9. Hahaha!! That I didnt actually mean! Sorry Neville. It was only 9pm too, I know I was tired but that's just weird...
  10. Norms the Genetics master so I say what he said. Do you know what the Albino's parents were?
  11. Its really up to you... I would but its ultimately down to personal preference... Its only been 2 months but its still possible for the breeders birds to get a strain of something and then pass it on to your birds... better safe than sorry I say..
  12. Sorry to hear about your health issues. Not pleasant. Glad to hear that you are getting better though.
  13. I'm don't personally know any breeders out that side but check out the BCV website and find your nearest club. They might be able to point you in the right direction...
  14. Best of luck with the next round with the visual pair.
  15. Looking good there Dean! Congrats on the results too!
  16. Recessive Pied Cock with no signs of Scaley mite on my screen at least. What makes you think he might have Scaley mite?
  17. Would it be possible to put one of the cages in another room? Its just that if your new hen has any illness there is a chance that she could pass it on to your birds. Do a search for Quarantine on the forums and you'll find out more information Good luck with growing your flock
  18. Leave the male in with the pair you already have an then introduce the new female after a month... are your birds outside? How far apart are the cages?
  19. Hahaha!! Blame it on everything you ate yesterday for Thanksgiving!
  20. I don't think Kia is her name... it might be... but "Kia Ora" is the way you greet someone in Maori. Like "Talofa" in Samoan or "G'day Mate" in Australian...
  21. Setting up a Facebook group takes 2 minutes.... If you have the Club/Council/Society logo. It's easier to update than a normal site so you don't have to know any programing code. Its as simple as adding an event (like an upcoming Auction or show and inviting all the members of the group. It is simple and cheap (both monetary and time wise). I really don't see why the other Societies/Councils have them. GB, you're right there are a lot of sites to do with Budgie's and if you join up to them you have a bunch of friend requests coming in, but I think that there aren't enough Official groups. There is nothing is stopping someone from setting up a BCV group today, other than the fact that I think its unethical You MIGHT be breaking Copyright laws too (not sure), to set up a BCV page and use their logo. If the people in charge of the clubs/councils/societies are not sure how to do it then ask someone to do it for them, you could pay someone $100's to create a web page OR get someone willing to set up a Facebook Group for free. It seriously takes 2 minutes, not hard and it's free advertising.
  22. Great pictures of the babies in the plastic carton... I take it Creme has red eye's?
  23. Hi guys... This is Kind of off topic but kind of not so I put it here and will let the Mod's figure out where they want it Going through the groups on Facebook under Budgerigars I noticed that the BSSA has a Group but no other State does... What's up with that? Would be a good, cheap way to advertise our hobby and only the BSSA is doing something about it. Even the local clubs could do it. Just a thought...
  24. Kia Ora! Hope you find the forums helpful and enjoyable!
