Help! Mum Budgie Gone And Left 4 Babies Behind.
Oh mate... I'm so sorry for your situation. I hope all goes well. As the others have said, please keep us updated on them... Good Luck... As a side note, I'd suggest putting a safety door on your aviary, or using a net to walk into and then into the aviary. A few years ago, one of my young birds flew out of the aviary. The next day I installed a safety door and haven't lost one since. Saves lots of heart ache. Good luck once again. Sending you lots of good luck and healthy bird wishes

Charlie Marlo's Bird
Hi Marlo. It's nice to here from you again. He sounds like such a dag A real character I say. I wouldn't worry about this playful behavior. It's exciting that he is wolf whistling. Are you going to teach him to talk? Good luck and I look forward to hearing about this. I agree with Liv about the sneezing. Is he showing any other signs out of the ordinary??? Pooy bum, underweight etc...???

Egg
Congratulations. You usually start counting from when the Hen starts to sit, but that's not a hard and fast rule. Make sure you feed her lots of hard boiled eggs-shell and all, mixed in with fresh veggies. Good luck and keep us updated.

How To Handle A Randy Cock
(Sorry guys... couldn't resist this topic title) Tweet Tweet, father of my Opaline's including Gucci and Dolce, is living it up back at the aviary at home. He shares the space with one other cock budgie, many females and two Cockatiels. Out of all the birds in the avairy... he is one hormonal guy!!! He paired up with Crackle, had their clutch together, and then returned to the aviary. Since that time Crackle spent some time at my place as she was a little under the weather. Upon returning, he was VERY excited... but that soon calmed down. I now notice he is very keen on another female of mine. He wont leave her alone. My concern is that part of the reason Crackle was sick was that Tweet Tweet stressed her and brought out these symptoms... thinking this, I worry the new love of his life will too become unwell. Now... what to do??? I do have a large cage in my breeding room I could put him in for the next few months, but I worry he won't be happy. I know you can cover their cage to reduce daylight hours, but they live in an aviary. I could bring him to the flat, but he is very noisy and not an ideal inside bird... I know the most important thing at the moment is the health of my birds... and that is why I ask this question. As I am not living at home, breeding at the moment is out of the question, so he really just needs to 'keep it in his pants' so to speak... but try telling him that!!! Any advice or ideas would be most helpful... maesie xo

Hen On 6 Eggs
Sounds good... Is that egg and biscuit mix from the pet shop? I recommend: Hard boil an egg- I crack and bash 1 egg, shell and all into a microwave safe container and zap it for 1.5-2 mins. Then mash it all up with a blender/mix master or alike. Then add to this peas and carrot... and anything else you have they might like. Mix it all up fine and serve She will love it!!!

Nail Trimming
They do use their nails to climb around etc... how long is long? My birds have pretty long nails too... but they are not a problem. They are meant to have longish nails. Maybe post a photo before you get too concerned

Un Tame
I agree with the others... remove the cage or go to another room. Keep at it and you will get there. It takes a lot of time and patience!!!

Blueberry
I'm so very sorry for you loss. Biggest hugs from me.

Nail Trimming
They use trees and branches etc... Just make sure Molly has a few different sized natural perches and she shouldn't need nail trimming. I've never needed to trim any of my birds nails, and that is all I use.

Pecking Neck Area Alot
I'd be off to the vets also... good luck with him. Please keep us updated on him and his itch. I've noticed he is your only bird... and I'm assuming you have/or would like to have a strong bond with him. I'd personally remove the mirror. This will allow him to connect to you more then his 'friend in the mirror'
