  3. I completely understand... she's is a cutie though... lol
  4. Still not sure... Daisy seems to have stuck for now, but open for ideas
  5. You have asked the exact same questions in your other thread about his taming journal. Again... the same responses. I understand that you are worried, but just relax and give the poor guy time to settle in.
  6. Nope... she's more of just as a companion for me.
  7. Thanks... not sure yet.
  8. You have so many wonderful ideas! You have two very lucky budgies!!!

Great aviary... and so new and clean... (those were the days). So much space for them.
  10. Thanks all... Yeah, the balls just turn me off!!! These guys are only 8 weeks old and they're already huge and will only get bigger :budgiedance: When I told the girl at the pet shop why I wanted a girl as I couldn't handle the balls, she just laughed, and agreed they weren't nice !!! I tried to take some photos (below). They're not greatest as she won't stop moving!!! She's happy to run all over me and tried to get into my top and eat my bra! Hellooooooooooo there... Look how high I can reach up mummy... arrrrrrr Please... I'm much to busy to stop for a photo!
  11. Ever since moving out and after the loss of our beautiful Sammi (cat) RIP, I have really wanted another cat/kitten. Unfortunately, living in a unit doesn't allow this. I have done some research on different animals, more suitable to keeping in a unit... and came up with Rats. I used to own mice as a child, and the friendly ones are just great. I had one named Lily, who used to fall alseep in my pocket. So today, I went out on the hunt. I ended up at my favourite pet shop and picked up an adorable 8 week old female rat. One of the workers opened up the cage and had her hand in there with them. They were all so friendly and she told me they were hand raised and with a lot of contact with children. They were all so cute, but decided I wanted a female as I couldn't handle looking at it's huge 'balls' :budgiedance: Just not a pretty sight in my mind!!! I'll add some photos later. She's just finished checking out her new cage, and is currently curled up in her little house.
  12. Awww, how exciting for you. Congratulations and I can't wait for the photos!
  13. HE is a cutie. Congratulations
  14. Don't stress mate. I'd keep his cage partly covered and leave him to be. He would have seen his food and water, but it's not abnormal for them not to eat for a little while. Great advice by AV above.
  15. I thought we could have a bit of fun with this topic... feel free to add yours here... :bliss: :bliss: WHY DO BUDGIES ALWAYS... Screech and make the most amount of noise in the morning when you want them to be quiet as all the neighbours are still sleeping because it 5am Always poo in their water as soon as you clean it Insist on sleeping on the exact same 5cm piece of perch/swing/wire... even though there are ample OTHER spots available Decide to flap their wings hysterically just BEFORE you're about to clean out their cage... sending feathers everywhere!!!
  16. Maybe take some more recent photos of him/her, in better light perhaps???
  17. Great to hear from you... I was wondering how you were doing.
  18. Love it!
  19. They are looking great!
  20. Hi and welcome... sorry we have met in such circumstances... Can you post a photo? (follow the links in my signature, or PM me and I will help you) some questions... does he still have the bars on his head (maybe he is too young to be away from his parents), is he fluffed up, does he have a pooy bum, can you feel his chest/keel bone... we need more information on him. In the mean time, pop a lamp over him- 40w, to warm him up... warmth is good and might make him feel a little better.
  21. Does she like coming out of the cage? Perhaps get her to run around a bit out of the cage? If she's not into flying/or just can't, maybe running would be the go? Make a game of it?

I'm often getting my 'spots' checked by my doctor... can never be too careful! Yes... good point. May not be such a good idea. Will have to look into it. Do they hurt... yes, but it's a different sort of pain, and you do get used to it after awhile. I find the outlines are the worst. The colouring in is actually kind of nice!
