  1. I took a few more photos today after I built my planter boxes ( Rustic Planters ) This one is from the original post: And now:
  2. Well... 6 months later and I have finally built my planters Here they are: As you can see, they are planted in long grey pots which I've had for some time now, but just got around to building the planter surrounds today. I also ditched my herb pot and budgie seed pot (both of which were in the back yard and now not needed) and planted them with cactus and succulants... and added some pailings too: I'm looking forward to seeing them all grow and fill out the pots. The prickly ones around the outside, were the pups off a big one I've had since I was about 12!!! It's an awesome plant, but despite using tongs/newspaper to transplant... I'm still pulling the tiny hairs out of my hands Most of the others new plants came from my sister's boyfriend's grandma... She had collected some bits and pieces from her late husbands collection.
  3. LOVE LOVE LOVE them all!!!

No Mikey... making you current picture bigger is pointless as it is too blurry to see. I deleted you other post with 'better picture' as it was the same one as here. Please take a new CLEAR photo like the one LIV showed you.
  5. woo hoo... 'tap, tap tap' as I await the photos
  6. Hehe... you can see that evil glint in her eye when you've been sprung! Love it.
  7. PICTURE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I have a gas wall heater. Like this! Now when it was installed they cut away a section of the skirting board and the hole in the wall where it goes, is all the way down to the floor, but the heater itself doesn't go to the floor, so there is a gap of about 10cm or so, which is open to the wall cavity etc... where anything can get in. I'm paranoid about spiders and creapy crawlies... and I also have 'small' pets which I'm also worried about them going in there. I'm just wondering, if I get a piece of timber to fit the gap, can I fix it in place to avoid the above worries??? or is the gap important to air flow of the heater etc... My thoughts are they just didn't bother to fill when they installed the heater, but I just want to check. The heater backs onto a cupboard in the hallway and there is sheating (of some sort) on there where the back of it is and the flu or what ever you call it... lol. Thanks in advance.
  9. I'm sure you'll be fine. I decided to get rid of my two. I had them inside since they hatched, but as they got older they got louder. I had been sick and wasn't able to give them the time out and attention they needed, and they turned to screaching a lot!!! I know it annoyed me, so I could only imagine how my neighbours felt. The best decision for them and me was to take them home to the aviary. It has worked out wonderfully. They are happily flying around with my flock and their sister, and I now have a quiet unit!!! I know the neighbours didn't complain, but I didn't want to give them a reason.
  10. You'll be fine!!! They're are a piece of cake, and I look forward to seeing your slice.
  11. Oh no.... sending you a PM luv xoxo

    Damn!!!
  13. Agree with Elly 100%. I'm also a renter and it annoys me how my neighbour has a cat, but when I did the right thing and asked, I was not permitted!! So not fair. It's people who disobey the rules that spoilt it for everyone else!!! Good luck with your request and I hope it is good news and soon!

I'm sure the man himself would be proud to have such a strapping cock named after him!
  15. AND... I think the edit of the word meaning donkey is because it may be used by members to mean other things.
  16. I think Henry needs a group hug =

So YES!!! and make him a silky gold robe to match his ring!!!

Disagree matt.. I had a 'pet type' and she laid 12 (I think), so the type of budgie makes no difference.
  19. Another idea is to use those plastic balls- see link: Wiffle Balls. You can hang these from the roof of the cage with chain, or cotton rope threaded with beads. Then stuff them with herbs/grasses/veggies etc... My birds love pulling it all out, and the 'hope' is they eat some of it as they do!!!

The photo's you link to are tiny and can't really see your birds. I look forward to see better ones.
  21. Too funny!!! I'd love to see a video of that!... PLEASE
  22. Agreed... and STRESS has a big impact on moulting too!!!
  23. If you notice they are to big, you can change them yourself... go to the edit button below the post, click on it and then fast edit... then change all the links by removing the from the start and end of the code... So instead of this: http://.... .......jpg You have this: http://i1... .....1687.jpg This gives a link to your photos and not the oversized photos on the page. You're better of trying to get the photos the right size, as many people don't bother to click on links and might not look at your photos.
  24. I changed them all to links for you. There is an edit function in photobucket where you can re-size them. BUT before you upload them, change the setting to 640 x 480 and they should be the right size to begin with
  25. How often are you checking them? Maybe lay off them and give them some space. It's also important to have the breeding cage is a quiet area... so as to not disturb them.
