  2. Good idea... or they be a plant forum somewhere where you could post it?
  3. Sorry, don't know.
  4. mmm, I know when I had Gucci and Dolce inside, they never bit me... and they also 'talked' to each other and the outside birds... and they were 100% female. Can you get some more pictures maybe?
  5.  :hap: fantastic!!! ... it reminds me of when I was young. We had a 'green' budgie called Rodger. He has a massive list of sayings and words... One day, Mum bent over at the fridge. He wolf whistled and then said 'hello sexy' :hap:  Still cracks me up to this day!!!
  6. Aww thanks Maesie I think so too. Well in the meantime, I can just pretend that I got the elusive red budgie! Why not!!!
  7. Poor guy... We all do things and then after the fact go 'why did I do that' I know I have been doing it a lot of late... I'm so glad he's doing okay. I agree with the others about staining. I bet you're glad it was water based hey It would have been aa whole lot worse if it was oil based. ... and... colour and all, he's still cute!
  8. hehe, that is funny... and a good ending in one!
  9. She's sooooo cute    And congrats to you and your family xoxo
  10. YES... everyone one is welcome to ones own opinion, but you have to draw the line. Again, personal attacks are not okay... if you have a problem, please take it up with the member via PM and not through topics.

Aww, I was hoping for pictures... yah!!! If your super talented at taming her, and you could get her to do tricks, and you could get her to lay down... you could say: 1 Tequila, 2 Tequila, 3 Tequila, 'floor' and on floor she lays down
  12. Biggest hugs on your loss! So sorry, but atleast know he is at peace and not in any more pain. Sadly, most of us here know too well the pain of loosing a 'family member'. We all here for you. xoxo
  13. I completely disagree. I have seen both good and bad doctor's, dentists, vets, customer service people, religious members... need I go on, and in my experiece, gender makes squat all difference. The way we deal with humans and animals comes down to our upbringing- people, environment etc... along with other things... yes, females can have a kinder nature, but I don't think that makes them 'generally better human beings' What makes a person a better human being anyway???? All men aren't the same, and neither are woman. I won't go on as this is completely off topic!!! Still thinking of chomper and hope he pulls through or doesn't suffer. Big hugs to you both xoxo
  14. Hugs Pearce xoxo I believe everything happens for a reson, no matter how hard it seems at the time. Keep your chin up and watch the other bubs you have thrive and grow!
  15. Good sign... sick birds usually perch on both feet, are fluffed up and have a pooey bottom. If your bird doesn't have any of those symptoms, I wouldn't be worried!
  16. Click on the words... they are linked to photos, although the first one doesn't come up for me. I have used them and never had a problem. Hope your guy is okay!
  17. First two are female, third adult one is male and last one need a better photo.
  18. I just fixed it for you. I figured you had enough on your plate at the moment... For future reference, go to my controls (top right) and edit your profile I'm also sending healing thoughts to Chomp, and hope he continues to improve. Having a sick family member is never easy. Hugs xoxo
  19. lol... she's such a sweetie and I have a feeling you guys will have a very special relationship!
  20. woo hoo exciting and busy times ahead!
  21. Me too!!! They are all so cute... Just a question re nesting material. Is there any reason why one has wheat and the other has shavings? I have seen both used and wonder what the advantages/disadvanges were of both. Thanks P.S. I have photos on my computer of one of my clutches, and one of my bubs at 9 days old look much bigger than freckles. Is he getting enough food? Maybe you could give him a daily top up if you're worried. he does look small to me, but the little ones can often turn out okay in the end... he might just be the 'runt' of the nest.
  22. No more updates here Pearce... I havn't commented but enjoy watching the progress. They are all so small when so young... pink little goobies that they are lol...
  23. It says it's also known as Queensland Brush Box. I tried a quick search, but found nothing. I have to go out but will look again later. Maybe the QLD members might know. My policy is if I can't find any info regarding it, I don't give it to them.
  24. I'm not sure about size requirements, but having an unseen divider is dangerous... It's like when they fly into windows etc... can cause serious injury and lead to death if hit hard enough
