My Parakeets!
If it is that, sadly there is nothing that can be done... but I do agree you need a avain (bird) vet. My biggest concern, is that the longer you keep them together, the bigger the risk that your other budgie will also become sick.

Not Fits But Mabe Something In The Ear?
I can't be of any help, sorry... but if you think the light is effecting him, perhaps put him in a warm room with a cover on the cage, to keep it dark. Warmth from a lamp is usually recommended for a sick bird, but if your computer light sets him off, I wouldn't use a lamp. Good luck and please keep us updated. (and I'll move this topic to the health section)

Will This Work?
Not a good idea. You may find they won't breed as they can see and hear all their 'friends' flying around and may spend more time trying to get out than make babies. It would also be quite distracting have other budgies climbing all over the breeding cage etc...

New Avairy Position
Agree with kaz, but also keep in mind which way the weather comes from... ie cold winds and RAIN... If you can avoid having this blasting in the front of the avairy, the better, but again... depends one your backyard. I live near Melbourne and we get cold southerly winds, and our worst weather comes from the south and west, so my avairy faces north east, but also has a large tree near it which provides shade from the summer heat.

Egg Laying
Great news... Give her hard boiled eggs, with the shell, all mixed up fine with veggies. You can also get soft food mixes for breeding birds... that will give her some nutrients. Also, make sure she's getting her calcium levels back up. Please keep us updated.

Fighting, Egg Eating And Mice In Nest Boxes
I'm sorry for your issues. Breeding is not as simple as putting in a few nests boxes and well ah...As a beginner breeder... I would only recommend cabinet breeding... Breeding is enjoyable, but at the same time, it can be heartbreaking... As to your mouse problem... breeding or not, it needs to be fixed, as mice spread diseases, which can be fatal to birds. I prefer trapping. You should also make sure there isn't any stuff lying around outside near the avairy... Also, type mice into our search function and you should be able to find some helpful hints there. Opps... and WELCOME!!! :rip:

I'm Looking For Stamps
My Uncle and Auntie are collecting stamps for their daughter, who was born last year, as it is a tradition in my Auntie's family to do this. In todays world... we don't see as many stamps with the internet and alike... so I'm on the search for stamps from outside of Australia. I'm happy to pay for postage for any you may be able to supply me with. I have three from Hong Kong, but that's all I have thus far... anything is appreciated.

Rip Daisy
I had Daisy in at the vets today for her spey. She had always been an aggressive rat, not to me, but her cagemates. Spey generally help reduce that, and with reducing the chance of cancer, it's generally a good surgery to have. They all have their risks, but yeah. Well the surgery went fantastic, and everything went as planned, but she wouldn't wake up. They tried everything, but got nothing back. I went in at about 5pm and cuddled her and spent time with her. She passed at 7pm. I know that this can happen to anybody, and for her to wake up there may have been an underlying illness there, but she was her normal self when I dropped her off, and if I hadn't have got the surgery done, she would still be with me. :party0011:

Are You Looking For Stubby Holders...
My sisters and I have been looking for stubby holders for our 'girly drinks' for years, and they are either not around or not very exciting... well, I have found a brilliant site and the designs are awesome!!! You can get them for water bottles, wine bottles etc... KyCa Check them out!!! We're planning on putting in an order and can get a discount if we order a large amount. If anyone wants to order some, I'd be happy to add it to ours and when we receive them I can post them onto you. We'd have to figure out postage etc based on how many you order etc... but PM if you're interested. (sorry non-aussies... it's an Australian website )

Crop Issue
What???? If you're meaning she's got crop milk prepared for the babies she wants to hatch out of the eggs she wants to produce with the sperm she wants from a male budgie who takes her fancy... they do not do this. I hope she picks up Renee. Do you have a vet appointment?

Budgie Not Sitting Properly
One of my hens decided to lay her eggs and sit on them... right next to the door I slide open to check on them... so, if not careful, they'd all roll out when I opened it :thanks: To avoid this, I cut a small piece of timber and sat it in the doorway (sitting inside the door when closed)... this way, I had no worries of anything falling out the door... I originally tried moving some of the eggs into the concave... but apparently this was NOT where she wanted to sit!!! lol

Sick Budgie?
So sorry for your loss. Who ever told you that's it was a cold and as long as she is eating she'll be fine... is an *****!!! Unfortunately, as you have now seen, budgies hide their illness' very well, and at the first signs of ANYTHING, attention is needed... especially if you're not experienced. Hugs xo

Scam?
Matt, you need to increae your spam filter. I never receive any of these emails. We do at work though as it's a business email and stuff gets through as we can't block unknown address'. Also, be careful about entering your email on online forms... even if they seem secure, this is how your email gets out there!
