Restoring Some Furnature
It's home and looks better than I could have ever expected. Here are the final photos: I must admit, after setting it all up, I did sit back and shed a tear or too... I'm really happy with it and think even my grandparents would approve with how their 'junk' is displayed!!! lol

Breeding Behaviour?
Due to the extremes in your weather, I'd remove them and re-add them later... no dramma's there!

Pet Shop Trying To Sell "pink" Budgies
I guess it's a no-go from here on. It may be non toxic, but as Kaz said, they are trying to pass something off that isn't... I wonder what they'd say to that! Maybe it's no longer an RSPCA issue, but more a false advertising thing???

Unwell Hen.....
Poor girl. Maybe stick to feeding just seed until then and see if it helps (if you're not doing it already). This will rule out the food related runs. Good luck and please let us know how you go.

Ratty Tail Feathers
OUCH!!! :happy-dancing: Wouldn't they still feel it although you're only dippling the tail? they dont feel it , as long as you dont put the whole bird in , Feather only as nubbly said Yeah, I read feathers only... I thought the heat would travel up the feather to the bird... but then thinking about when we clip their wings and it doesn't hurt them... so yeah... mmm, don't mind me.

My Budgies Are Dying
I'd call all the avian vets you can find in your state. It's really hard to give a diagnosis via the internet, and also via phone, but at this stage, any information you can get from will be helpful, especially an avain vet! As to your aviary, can you move it. It sounds like it needs to be moved and aired out. This would be the perfect time while all your birds are inside. Before returning the surviving ones back to it, I'd look at concreteing the floor to avoid further situations such as this. Good luck and please keep us updated.

Im Worried About Balki

Going For A Perfect Round
Really, I didn't know this. Why so? Its BS Maesie. Knowing nothing about Show Budgies, I didn't know if they were less likely to have a full set of chicks as opposed to our 'humble' pet types, and if so why? Curious I suppose.

Toys By Ultrav0x
Nice work!!! That first toy is brilliant!!!!!!! When I was making toys for my budgies, I also used some of those paper pans, for cupcakes. They didn't last long so I added them to existing toys, but they loved to shred them. Keep up the good work. The more toys you have the more you can move things around and the more your new budgie will enjoy his/herself.

Budgies Breeding... Need Help.
Budgie don't need anything to sleep in. Anything, even those snuggle huts can be seen as a good place to nest. Also, based on the size of your current cage, you may have problems. Small spaces with multiple nest boxes can mean dead chicks etc...

Any Advice To Improve This Cage?
Kind of... Good idea though. Also ables them to fly accross the cage more. As to the feeders, it's a personal choice. I have used both in the past.

Infertile Eggs
How is 30th Jan to now, 10th Feb over a month GB ??? Dingo, How soon after they were laid did you candle them. You often don't see signs of life straight away. You could give it more, based on incubation time etc... or if you are 100% sure they are infertile, I'd remove them and the box and try again later if you wish. Let us know how you go. i didnt say it was over a month i said if its over a month then i would let them start again does no one read things people write on this place think its time out from here yet again im sick of being interpenetrated wrong its bad enough in the real world this was my out let but slowly it is diminishing i think ill just go eat worms..... lol Settle down! If you had read Dingo's post correctly, you would have realised it hasn't been anywhere near a month. Again... as mentioned before and by other, I'd leave them a bit longer.

Heated Topics/discussions
The staff do not have a problem with these discussions, but please try and remember to keep them about the topic in which they were started, and don't take over the topic. I'm sure many of us (including myself) can argue/discuss something 'till you're black and blue in the face... but you can't always change other peoples opinions. You need to pick your battles and know when to step back. Also remember, that personal attacks are NOT okay... in any way shape or form. Staff also have the right to close or remove any topics which are seen as out of hand or heading that way, and we will do so if needed. maesie, Global Moderator. BUMP, BUMP, BUMP!!!

Any Advice To Improve This Cage?
Great size and good price too. I'd put some natural branches (I use Gum or Bottle brush which I hose off and dry a little in the sun first). I'd put one at either end of the cage, just on from the edge to allow for their bottoms and tails... going front to back of course. Knots, different thickness' Along with this, branches with leaves/flowers etc are always great. Again, I rince off with water and check for any nasties, and put straight in. These I replace as needed. Always make sure they come from an area not sprayed with chemicals. For now that's all I can think of. Great buy and I look forward to it progressing into their new home!

Please Help- Parakeet Poked Other's Eye Out
I'm guessing that's inches... I hope tomorrow goes well. They should give it a good clean, and he may get some antibiotics to stop infection. The big thing is shock... this often gets them instead of the injury, even after the fact. Keep a close eye on him.

Please Help- Parakeet Poked Other's Eye Out
I wouldn't be too sure that the actual eye was gone. Can you give us the exact measurements of the cage they were in. I know you said it was more than big enough, I'm just curious. I wouldn't use any ointment from a pet shop either. If it's still bleeding, you can put white pepper on it, or flour, and I agree with Kaz, keep him warm and in a quiet place. Good luck at the vet tomorrow, and make sure it's an avian vet.

Friend Has Breeding Problem With Budgies
I'm sorry, but I completely disagree. Budgies in the wild and budgie in capitivity are very different. Breeding any budgie younger than 12 months old should not be done, pet or show. I know you are refering to the situation at hand, but we also must remember than many unexperienced people read these forums, and I hate to think that by reading your post that's it's okay to breed at 5 months. But... back on topic, I agree with all Kaz has said.
