  1. Why is it so?????? mmmm Good news otherwise though!
  2. No worries at all about the double posting ... Your updates are great. It sounds like your place is about to get very exciting and very busy. Congrats!!!
  3. I'm sorry to have to welcome you on these terms. Sorry for your loss, but I agree with Kaz and Libby on there comments. I don't feel the need to add to what they have already written.

You could get some natural hair dye and dye their 'tail feathers' (please note... the above comment is a joke. You should never dye your budgies feathers!!!)
  5. Yep... I'm with the group on this one too... a very cute BOY!

    Nice birds there
  7. ... I'm so sorry for your loss. Poor little guy! I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
  8. Great shots! I too love the in-flight shots! You have very nice birds
  9. yeah...but none of it is recent....and as Ken likes to say... Nobody died in a hearse. They all die in ambulances or hospitals Oh Ken... he is a wealth of facts and usefull information isn't he! Very good point though!
  10. I'll save you a piece next time I'm eating a block! ... as to the best thing on a cold winter morning... I could think of better things
  11. Nice photo Kaz... I must say, driving around in a hearse would freak me out a little... so much history, so many stories to tell... mmmmm.....
  12. Whatever the sex... he/she is a real cutie!
  13. My 'concentration' face. (Aka vaguely disgusted, vaguely intrigued, strangely enjoying it ) Strangely enjoying it Elly - Did I ever tell you about the time a dog had eaten a bar of marble chocolate and I had the glamourous job of holding the bucket after he was given the vomit-inducing drug? Not a smell you can forget! So I take it you no longer eat marble chocolate?!?!
  14. Female budgies generally bite more/harder than males...and the cere is looking quite 'female' like???
  15. It can't hurt him... better to be safe than sorry, esp as I'm sure he used to be around 'other' birds.
  16. This is certainly NOT the place for someone who is trying to avoid a Budgie addiction!!!
  17. I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you... (xxxxx) (xxxxx) (xxxxx) (xxxxx)
  18. I love it!!! It sounds like you're having a blast. You go girl It's all so very interesting. (P.S. I'm scared of horses too!!!)
  19. No worries. When you get a new budgie, weather it be your first or as an addition to your current flock. You should always treat them with meds for worms, mites etc... just as a precaution... and if you're adding a budgie to your current bird family, quarintine for 30 days is a MUST. You can get the mite spray where ever... it probably doesn't make to much difference. Jack may be feeling a little tired... esp with all that itching, but after tomorrow, he'll be very happy!!!

My mouth is just watering at the thought of all your double yolkers ...
  22. Oh, he is a very cute little boy!!!
  23. They are only a week old :hap: ...itch...itch..itch... Just scrub them with the vinegar and boiling water, then scrub with just boiling/hot water, then rinse a few times again... then leave in the sun as with everything else. They should be fine :hap: ... itch...itch...itch...
  24. Great pics Kaz... I look forward to the journey. B*tch looks like my kind of girl
  25. This post is already making my skin crawl!!! Poor you and Jack. It's fine to keep him inside overnight. As to cleaning his cage... clean everything with boiling water and some vinager, scrubbing well and then rinse in water a few times. Dry in the hot sun if possible. If the perches are wood, replace if possible, or wash as above. Good luck with his meds and I hope he's itch free very soon!
