  2. What a great start!!!
  3. Whooo, it's getting close now. I'm not experieced in the fertility of eggs, so I'll leave it to someone else. I'm very excitited for you and hope all goes well.
  4. Awwwwww they are just tooooo cute!
  5. Yep, agree with Liv's questions etc... more info is needed for us to be able to help you. Some clear pictures would be awsome. If you think he is unwell, put him in a quite dark room and put a lamp over it to keep it warm. Watch him and check his bottom, poo and feel him to see if he has some meat on his bones.
  6. Awsome news Liv. I'm glad they all made it through... even the canary who needed some Air Con help. I'm also glad the heat wave is over for you all and we get some normal Autumn weather.
  7. NICE!!! You will be busy. Congratulations...

Looking good. Keep an eye out for the first signs of illness... just in case. I'm glad they're settling in well together.
  9. Cute as always Kaz!
  10. ((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))) It's so hard to loose a pet, esp when they are very special to us. We all feel your loss and are here for you. Just as an added point, even if you had have gotten an xray, and it had have shown up a tumor, I'm not sure if anything can be done about them in budgies??? I don't know if they'd survive surgery (correct me if I'm wrong). I lost my "mum" budgie last year. She had two clutches (5 babies I still own) from ovarian cancer/tumor. There was nothing that could be done for her. I know that it prob doesn't make you feel any better though... maesie xxx
  11. Another great update as usual. They are looking really well and VERY cute! Good stuff Dave.
  12. Long lost quad... maybe Sorry for taking over your post with FEET!!! Great news about the outside time... pity they didn't venture off the perch... although that was almost a given. You might find over time, they'll get used to it, or someone will be pushed off the perch and find it by accident. Atleast they're getting some filtered sun, fresh breeze and a different view.

Happy Anniversary/Birthday Petie! It looks like they had a great time with their treat. Congrats on your avairy. I look forward to its arrival. Check out the avairy section of the forums for tips etc on what other use/do with/etc... their avairies. You might pick up some helpfull info. You could also do a search on them too.
  14. 100% boy from me too. You might have received mixed answers before as when they're young it can be hard to tell... unless you're an experienced breeder. He's very cute and I'm sure your daughter will love taming him and teaching him to talk. Enjoy
  15. Firstly welcome to the forums. I'm sorry we are meeting under these circumstances. I'm really sorry for your loss. I can't be much help with how your little one died. Budgies have a way of hiding their illness' very well, and often, as you've found out, when they're on the bottom of the cage, it's too late. I'll leave it to some of the more experienced members to give possible medical reasons. All I can say is don't blame yourself. You took him to a vet as soon as you could and although they weren't an avian vet, you had his best interest at heart. And yes... budgies can have xrays. Once again, sorry for your loss, and ((((hugs)))) from me! maesie xxx
  16. Awwwww, so cute. I love the little head peeking out of the nest box
  17. I'm glad you had an awsome time at the wedding and I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling to good. I hope you get better really soon! ((((hugs)))) to you.

:rip: very normal budgie behaviour unfortunately... I'm sorry that Charlie couldn't stay with Gracy-Lou and Flash. Hopefully over time that may change, or just keeping Gracy-Lou in her own cage might be just as good... and allow them to play together. It's great she's eating her own seed (just watch her to make sure she actually is and just not playing in it). I love the picture of the three of them in the cage... very cute!
  22. Very nice!!! You'll have to add it to your signature... :rip:

Trust you! to want to play maesie!! :(Laughing out loud): I am working on a wheel, I have some cool spare mountain bike rims to use, and a jungle Jim from parrot rope. I am open to any suggestions though! :rip: Yep! That's me!!! They sound good. Mine like their shreding toys, bells, natural branches with leaves and beaded toys. I'm sure once you get your wheel and your jungle jim in there, it'll pass the 'fun' test!!! (Laughing out loud). I love your avairy by the way...
  24. Things seem to be going well for you. I really feel for you about the rats. I've just gotten rid of (touch wood) my mouse problem and that was bad enough. I can't imagine having rats!!! ewwww... Good luck with that!
  25. :rip: Yeah KAZ!!!! Well done. Sounds like you had a good day and congrats on your first ever trophy! (a nice end to a shocker of a week) Maesie xoxox
