  6. Oh Crissie, (((hugs))) You poor thing. I hope Percy made it through the night. Don't blame yourself, you were doing what you thought was right for him. You weren't to know the **** couldn't give meds correctly. I haven't experienced this before, but I hope it all goes well. Please keep us updated... maesie xxx (I'm only a PM away if you need to chat, winge, cry etc to anyone)
  7. I was hearing about that on the news. You poor thing. I remember Kaz or someone saying something about replacing the door of the nest box with clear plastic??? with holes in it for air... I'm sure she'll be on later if that's who said it. I hope they all make it and this heat is over very soon.

  9. What a great couple... very well suited. Oh, NickNack...
  10. Yah!!! Three. I hope the littlest one gets on okay. They're looking really well. Congrats
  11. They are very sweet. I wouldn't worry about overdoing it. If they seem happy, it's all good. The cage looks good with the leaves. A tip for you on perches. I'd get rid of the wooden ones you got with it, and replace them with natural ones. Pick some strong native branches, with varying thickness'. Your boys will love to strip the back off them and the different thickness' are great for the feet to exercise them. Just remember to wash them like you did with the leaves. They LOVE them! :(Laughing out loud): You'll find if you move files and fiddle on photobucket, the links will no longer work. You can just repost them if you like. By the way... I love the photo of the two of them together. It looks like they're already great mates!
  12. Hey there... I was just wondering how the Weebil is going? Is it still nice and quiet? I hope so!
  13. Kind of like us Humans hey??? All a little bit different, interested in different 'toys' and some of us even get a little funny about them too :hap: It's what makes the world an intesting place...
  14. YAH!!! I love it when they start talking. My tiels Ernie has said 'Hello' twice... Congrats to you!
  15. Well, I live in Geelong, and haven't got around to getting some local beach pics yet, I spend most of my childhood holidays at my grandparents farm in country victoria, but haven't got around to finding them yet... so, I've posted some photos I took last april when I went on two '3 day' hiking holidays of Tasmania... one was on the East coast- Frecinet National Park and the other was on the West Coast/ Central- Cradle Mountain. Wineglass Bay-Frecinet National Park Cradle Mountain in Fog Tasmanian Devils- A breeding program. Cradle Mountain Cradle Mountain- highest peak. Ravin... check out those EVIL eyes!!! Moss on a tree Fungus Fungus Sorry for all the pics. It was very hard to pick just these... esp out of over 300!!! (Laughing out loud)
  16. A picture would be helpful for us, and possibly start a new thread of your own. It might get more interest as this one is quite old.
  17. Fair point. I wasn't writing it to be mean, just simply stating the rules (which doen't hurt every now and again for the benefit of all)... but I do understand the update issue when no one replies to a post. I never thought you were being mean, and I do not think Enna would think that. You're not like that Maesie. We all know that Cheers Dave It's all good!
  18. Yeah, it would be nice to get a good mix... It's exciting that Angel and Hugo's eggs are starting to hatch... now the little journeyman is not so lonely! Here hoping for further success for them and for Tralia's eggs.
  19. They are comming along nicely Dave. I especially love the eldest chick with all that yellow.
  20. For cleaning I use very hot water and vinegar, scrub well, rinse and scrub with hot water, and then rinse again. I also agree with your plan to ditch all toys and perches. Better to be safe then sorry Can't wait for the pics! Enjoy cleaning.

Another one bites the dust... Three down, hopefully not too many more to go!
  24. Any time!!! We are all here for you. Many of us have lost a loved one and know what you are going through. That's why this forum is so great. Like minded people, sharing similar experiences. If you end up getting another one, you will know if and when the time is right. Some birds, as Elly's Merlin do wonderfully as a solo flyer, others like the company. It's a decision only you can make. Hugs for you Maesie xxx
