Very nice birds... I too love your hen
  2. They're cute. I love the names... I have two cockatiels called Bert and Ernie . Bert is actually a girl. She's grey and light yellow. Ernie is a male and is white and yellow.
  3. The vibration of his wings doesn't sound too good... mmm. Are you still keeping him warm and giving him vitamins as suggested? Watch him closely, perhaps another vet visit may be on the cards. See what the more experienced members have to say. Good Luck!
  4. I have no idea sorry, but he is very cute.
  5. Nice pics of a lovely couple!
  6. OH NO!!! What a horrible day. I hope you manage to save some of your smelly and wet damaged property. I really feel for you. It's always hard whne people who you consider as your friends seem to have no concern for you or your situation. Have a damn good cry. It always makes me feel better. I hope the comming days are much better for you. I know I'm not one of 'those' friends, but from a 'new' never met friend...big (((((((hugs)))))) Chryso!

That is one awsome avairy!!! I really love black wire... as it kind of looks invisable. It looks like you have got plenty of room and I'm sure your birds are going to love it. Great job by all.

Back to my mice hunt for just a moment Still only three. I'm doubtful we'll catch anymore. I'll do another big clean up this weekend. I'll still continue to set the traps, but we'll see what happens... okay, back to ... come on feathers... stretch for that cd girl!
  9. Sometimes a loud voice is what's needed to be heard... over all that past pain and hurt! I'm sure the two of you will have a special bond together. xxx
  10. I was going to say good job on the nest boxes... but too late. Pity the hens weren't to keen, now they'll just have to put up with the heat! Did you say 35*C at 9.30 am?!? Poor you.
  11. Hi Chrissie. I'm glad you got your little boy home! That is fantastic news! His meds still sound like a headache! Good luck with that. If you could get taught how to crop feed (as Kaz said) that would be very benificial to both you and percy. Are there any experieced members that live near you? Best of luck! I'll be thinking of you both again tonight! ((((hugs)))) Maesie xxx

Good stuff. Don't be too worried if she wont eat her veggies. For all you know, she may not have been fed them where she used to live. Just keep offering them and hopefully she may give them a try.

Hi and welcome to all of your birds. She must have been very hungry, and possibly loose for a few days?!? Keep a close eye on her and keep her away from your other birds for atleast 30. Just in case she has anything...mites etc. Good luck with her.

:hap: ! I don't think they go for it. We use peanut butter on our traps, which seems to work. I remember using cheese when I was young, but can't remember if they ate it or not?!
  17. :hap: ... will do!

When I think of pidgeons, I think of Bert on 'Sesame Street' singing to them and feeding them :hap: ... Sad isn't it. Too much time watching ABC TV with the kids I used to babysit! mmm I miss those days. LIV!!! It's catching. Now I've done it too
  19. Oakey, doakey... CHEERS!

  21. A great new addition for you. Good on you for taking him!
  22. Oh... I'm really feeling for you. Big hugs xxx. Go on down there and give them a serve! If they let you have him back, have you got another vet whom you trust that you can take him too... if he's okay? I don't really know what else to say other than that I'm thinking of you and Percy, and praying for good news. Best of luck, Maesie xxx
  23. I have boxes like Kaz. Looking forward to your pics Liv. Stay cool!
  24. I love it. I've had males go into the nest box with his hen, but never sit on her eggs for her. It's very sweet!
