Is It Possible To Tame My 2 Year Old Budgies?
Tom's an old guy now ... the only ladies he's attracting to his shows have really BIG BIG KNICKERS now .... when they throw them things at the stage it can knock out the lighting & cover a band player. Totally dangerous. We don't want to scare or cause any car accidents with other motorists with big knickers being waved around on the roads now do we Maesie ? :fear ... prob not. I'll keep mine on shall I??? (Laughing out loud)

Outdoor Play
Yep agree Nick Nack... maybe we are long lost twins... longing for the world where shoes don't exist!!! (Laughing out loud)... I also love the differences in our worlds. In the few months I've been here, I've learnt sooooo much. It's awsome... Sorry for all this talk... I get distracted very easy!!!

Is It Possible To Tame My 2 Year Old Budgies?
(Laughing out loud) ... Maesie ... don't you know ... that's how cats show us love ? The evil eye & ignore you & leave some doo doo in yer slipper for you later ! Sammi loves you ! He really loves going to the Vet to be poked & prodded too. It's the darn carrier & the car ride that really makes em nuts & mad at you ! How dare you stuff kitty in a crate & then make em dizzy while you drive like a speed demon blaring the Greatful Dead on the car stereo in his little cat face ? Don't you know ? Kittys like Tom Jone's ... Whats new Pussycat ... WHOA WHOA WHOA ... they love to sing along ! I don't doubt that she loves me... when we got her, she came from my auntie who lives 4 hours away... so her introduction to our home was a 4 hour car drive without her family, and then a weird house... so no surprise she HATES the car!!! I'll have to find some Tom Jones when I take her next... Will I also need some spare Knickers to throw around the car also???

Is It Possible To Tame My 2 Year Old Budgies?
Good luck with that... for a moment... when I take my cat Sammi to the vets, I get the evil eyes and silent treatment for the rest of the day. It's like she has to show me that's she's really NOT HAPPY!!! (Laughing out loud)

Outdoor Play
I find because I have an outside avairy, I don't worry about that sort of stuff. I'm also an 'outside' girl... I prefer not to wear shoes (unless I'm in the avairy), the bottom of my feet have that hard crusty feel from a summer in bare feet, they're often dirty and need regular scrubbing. That's just me... all my pets are pretty tough. They've just grown to be that way. Like kids I guess. If you wrap them up in cotton wool, they'll end up getting sicker than the ones who aren't. But... that's just me. Things are obviously different over were you guys are... and I can't say I understand because I've never lived over there... but each to there own. Our lives are very different...

Buying A New Budgie
His picture is very cute!!! I know the others have added their comments before my post, but I figured I'd add my 2 cents worth as well!

Outdoor Play
Yep... go for it. They'll love it I'm sure. My birds love the grass when I put it in the avairy. Above (in red) you mention you cleaned the cage outside. Was this just removing the tray etc... be carefull about opening the cage door to remove things. Even if your budgies never try to get out when you open the door inside... they may when you're outside. I'd hate for them to fly away on you!

Benny Or Bonney
No worries. It can be very confusing. They're looking really good and I'm glad they are settling in.

My Babies
They are looking pretty good. Make up a soft food mixture. Hard boil and egg, let it cool and put it in a food processor(to mix it up). Leave the shell on to. Then add carrot, greens etc... and mix that all up also. Put this in their cage to eat. They will give the parents some extra calcium and goodies to then pass onto the chicks. I'd lay off the lettuce as it's mainly made up of just water. I also agree with Neat. I wouldn't move them into a bigger cage until all the babies have fledged. Also, as you mentioned, spread seed on the bottom of the cage, and have millet there too, and possibly a piece in the nest box (for mum and bubs)

Benny Or Bonney
I think I mentioned this is a previous post... like Kaz said... Charlie would be early 2007, and Benny would be late 2007... With the aplication of oil... you could used a cotton bud. It would make it easy to apply. Both very cute boy, and excellent photos of their cere's. How's Benny going? Is he getting used to you all?

New Aviary

George's Droppings Are Runny
Sorry to hear about George and Co. I can't be much help... other than suggesting you ask them to do tests or offer some other sort of treatment as this doesn't seem to be working for him, or try another avian vet. I hope someone else can help you and George. Good luck and please keep us updated.
